ODST SMG - fixer upper

a few months ago I picked up a cheap resin HALO2 Muckle SMG from sigma-LS. This was bought in full knowledge that it was a fixer upper.

In addition to it being a little rough round the edges, the forward handle also snapped off during transport

seeing as how I needed a SMG for my ODST cossie, I started work on it. I always wanted it to be in extended configuration.

So out came the dremel tool

I re-built the forwad grip, sanded teh hell out of it and tried to correct some of the bigger symmetry issues. I also carved the magazine detail to match the ODST SMG closer

good old PVC pipe and push-on on connectors, plus some cardboard.....

some bondo and sanding, re-shaped the pistol grip

more cardboard for the front sight

certainly not a display piece, but something I wouldnt mind lugging abt with my ODST

and it is kinda extendable

Here is the one I did in 2-up size for McFarlane Toys ODST. I had to be approved by Bungie beofore the action figure could be produced so maybe it can help for reference.
