Obscure part hunting, and I need some help

Alright, this is from the new Kick Ass film, and I have completely exhausted my ideas about what this casing could be from. My first guess was some sort of digital voltmeter, but I can't find one with that sort of configuration. Then the "S.I.C" depression led me to think that it may have been a 12 button casing, so I started looking at 80's phones and walkie talkie's, no luck there either. The 'antenna' is an expandable baton, so obviously not part of the original item and I doubt the toggle switch is either. The section in the top left looks like an LED matrix, but I really don't know.

I guess I could scratch build the case, but I'd like for once to actually hunt down the original parts so I'd love some help brainstorming about what this could be from.

I'm not sure at all. I just figured that it was more likely they would have used an existing casing rather than creating one

Looks scratch built to me, nothing really recognizable as real world parts. The side curve looks off, perhaps just the angle, but not something that has been machine manufactured in that fashion, looks more 'hand cut' - the top portion looks as though it has been glued onto a box.

I agree with what the guys have said. I believe this is a scratch built prop.
