The artwork image showing the inside of the rocket silo is reminiscent of the Phoenix shuttle from Star Trek First Contact.

The trailer is great, and I'm quite keen to see this film, I'm not a huge Tom Cruise fan but I'm still going to see this when the film is released.

I hope the graphic novel hits stores soon. I am excited to read that more than seeing this movie. I had similar emotions over Surrigates.

But he has so much range. He can be a secret agent that kicks ass, or a everyday man that kicks ass. Or a hitman who kicks ass.

He can also be a teenager that sings Bob Seger songs in his socks and underwear, a race car driver, a pioneer, a sports agent, a Navy fighter pilot, a fat and sleazy movie producer, and a rock star.

I've been turned off Tom Cruise for a little while but I think he's making quite the concerted effort for a come-back! And with Kosinski at the helm, the film will look amazing at least - though I'm hoping for a deeper story than Tron.

Unfortunately, he always seems to play the same character. Same guy, different costume. I do not know if it is him or if he is typecast.

As for this movie, it could be good. It will depend on what the big secret is. His ship looks like it was built by Aperture Science.

Typecast mostly I'd day. He occasionally does something completely different from his usual, his role in Tropic Thunder is a good example of what he can when given a role different from his usual ones.

So what does everyone think of the up coming movie, Oblivion? Lead role goes to Tom Cruise, which I dont understand, but the movie itself looks to have possibilities of being good. Any thoughts?

Normally anything with TC in I steer clear of, but only recently I caught Vanilla Sky, and enjoyed him in it, then on Thursday one of my work mates sent me the link to the Oblivion trailer.... well it looks like I'm going to a TC movie..:cool
