Nubie question on a mannequin

Hello folks i have to ask. I'm looking to make an IM armor and i see that a lot of people have mannequins or mannequin form types. I had found a store that would sell a slightly damaged one. The trouble is that it is 2-3 inches taller than i am. It is also missing an arm. I'm pretty sure i can build an arm, but the height thing is making me think. The cost is $60.00 Canadian. What are your thoughts? Thanx... GM

At this link you can find a great tutorial on how to make a duct tape form that will match your shape fairly well, then you can always purchase a foam display head from a beauty supply store and mount it on top .

Secondly you can always pick up that one for 60 bucks and shave 2 inches off the ankles....

Duct tape mannequin would be your best bet. It has your own dimension.
But do you really need mannequin for IM suit?

I just used broken wood plank (from my customer's bed) :love, pieces of leftover pvc tubes, and cardboard just to make a frame (just like stick-man) with my size. Or you just use pvc tube to make a frame.
