I'm doing fine. I'm treating the Galactica like my job. I leave it alone after work hours. It helps. But I really SHOULD be wering a resperator. I hear the resin dust can really do a number on your lungs and brain.

Yessir.

Since this is your 'job'...think OSHA and wear your PPE. :p :thumbsup

Agreed...resperator...may as well be like Vader. LOL.

On a more serious note... this is a very serious concern. How many talented modelers have been dropping in the past few years? Especially the Hollywood guys. Gotta protect yourself.

That goes for you too Bob. Isn't one of your alias's GluSniffa. LOL. All that plastic in your beautiful shop has me worried... ever get that vent put in? I think you said yes...can't remember.

Ooops... back to Galactica.... Coby....YoDa Man.... I mean with a resperator...VaDa Man. LOL.

Yep. I'm GLU Sniffah on Hobbytalk. But that's just a moniker. I use low odor acrylic paints and liquid cements. When I DO shoot anything heavy duty, I wear a respirator...which reminds me. I need new cartridges. But I remember before I got 'safe', I'd spray and have primer gray or black boogers in my nose....yuck. And a warning.

Yep. Details are all in my workshop thread up in the SS forum. I'm pretty much ready to go.

Ok, Coby...back to you.

Here ya go...

My wife can tell what I was doing at work when she kisses me when I get home.

"Hello Honey."

"Fiberglassing today huh?"

"Oops. Forgot to when the mask for ten minues.."

Same goes for lacquer and resin.

Oh yeah. She can tell when I has Asperigas for lunch too.

i'm sorry, but i think my brain just dribbled out of my ear...i can't even begin to wrap my head around a project like this.

Coby. If I drown in my own drool, you'll hear from my lawyer :D

For Fracks sake, it looks awesome.

If I were to choose between a naked Number Six and this model .. I would for sure choose .. hmmmmm did I say Number Six ....... naked ........ hmmmmmmmmm :unsure

:lol

Cheers
Niels

I don't watch the new BGS, so I can't comment on the work (although the skill on display is blowing me away), but I tell you... seeing the work done on that BoP awakened an excitement in me that I've not felt in a decade. That's some really amazing work.

coby,

Yes I highly recommend a dust mask for the resin situation.
Also that is one clean, sharp Galactica. I'm in for that kit when available. Who will be retailing it? Great choice of scale in 1/2500. Looks like she's almost a mile long in the story.

They let you work on this at your Job? :eek

I have to find myself a new employer.

They do. But it was slooooooow the last two weeks. I'm back to work now. But I did a massive cleaning of my home office so I now have an area to work at home.

Just checking on how this BEASTIE is coming along? :confused

Last I saw it was amazing.

Oops,.. I forgot that you were away at the moment. lol.

I look forward to another update Coby. :p
