I was trying to polish up my unobtanium noisy cricket. Usually I will use a polishing way to get a near mirror finish but had run out. I had the dremel out with the soft polish wheel and while looking around found the Novus # 2 acrylic cleaner. I thought what the heck, itÂ’s for acrylic but the metal should be soft enough.
Sure enough, spreading a thin layer on the metal and then polishing away, I got a mirror finish with the # 2 Novus cleaner. This is the nicest finish I have ever been able to get on one of these, looks like a chrome finish on it.
So, if by chance you are looking to get that type of finish, the Novus # 2 Acrylic cleaner works darn well on aluminum.
