Nova Prime Helmet WIP (pics!)

Ok update! Here is the star mold and raw cast of the star emblem. A lot of sanding and some filling is in order, but figuring the master was made out of balsa wood, this is a good start. Might make a few more to see if I get any better pulls.





With rub and buff, can you clear coat it and not turn it into a mustard color? I bought some gold leaf yesterday at my local arts and crafts place, so I will post pics of the testing helmet soon.

Ok update! I recast the star emblem and the second pull got out a much better result. Sanded it down a bit and got it nice and smooth. I still need to heat warp the center line a bit and make sure all the angles are even. Here are some pics.





I'll fix it up tomorrow and start priming And painting. Hopefully I won't need to spend a lot of time on this emblem

Ok BIG update! Im pretty much done!

Firstly, the star got heat warped and i put on a few coats of auto paint that was for a previous iron man build, and voila!


The star touched the helmet at 2 points, the nose tip and the forehead. For the forehead, i got a tiny screw and screwed the star into place. I made some pre-drilled holes to line it up perfectly. Then I super glued the nose piece. made sure to sand away the paint before gluing the two pieces together.

And here we go!! Nova Prime!


This one is already sold, but I will be throwing this up on the junk yard for people interested. Also PM me if interested in one, it was a joy to make and would love to make some more

Ok update!!! I added some foam on the inside and it fits just like a glove. No wobbling!!! Visibility is also really good.

I'm also trying to make a Nova Helmet but a Sam Alexander version, do you know of any Pepakura files I could use, and or the resources needed to complete this build.
