I don't remember seeing this rule anywhere. This forum is mainly about exchanging information, so passing on the details of a relevant resource is only likely to be encouraged. I'm sure everyone viewing this thread would be excited to see a new forum dedicated to the film we love.

With regard to asking mods to change the title of this thread, I feel that is a little premature. Surely the first thing to do is to ask JT. After all it is his thread and he is certainly still a member here. That said, the content definitely needs to be preserved as it has been a fascinating read.

A bit of a knee-jerk reaction I think, considering it's a reaction to the OT thread which ended in arguments, and not this thread itself.
I really enjoyed this thread, and was looking forward to seeing more progress of your wonderful build.

If your not getting along with somebody, just put them on ignore. There's no need to leave the board.

I hate to say it, but this place isn't the only board out there, and honestly not even the board it was 2 years ago, and yet somehow the less then cordial elements on the board are still here, while a lot of the talent that has been thrown off or driven away from this board...

at one point, this was THE board
now, there really isn't a choice but to be members on other forums at this point, especially if you're into something other then star wars

sorry, but someone had to say it...:unsure

If this action is because of a C&D, then it would be good for all the members here who indicated an interest in this model to be told.

If it's because of the thread in the OT, then that's a little daft to be honest. I mean, you could be offended on another board, and feel you have to leave that also. So on and so fourth.

I hope you can come back to this thread and show us all some more progress of this superb build!

Alien section in a blade runner forum?

That seems kind of odd. Not sure how many people are going to find that

after this thread is nuked. (if the mods do that)

I can see wanting to have an ALIEN dedicated space, but other than sharing

the director, it doesn't make sense.

Maybe somebody should put together an "alien forum"

It would make more sense joining up with something like the Aliens Legacy

forum than a Blade runner forum.

I have no idea why JTP packed up and moved his stuff over at propsummit, but we are very happy to have him over there. We have had a few Alien projects finished and ongoing for a while now. Most of us BR fans seem to like the original Alien movie as much as BR so it was a natural offshoot for us.

We aren't trying to replace any other boards or take anything away from those. I think some people just like the atmosphere over there. We at propsummit will continue to try and support other boards and their projects that interest us by sending people in their direction. There is room for all of us on the web, and we can only benefit from each other as long as we just focus on enjoying ourselves and pursuing the hobby as we each want to in our own ways.

Hi guys;
Dropshipbob kindly sent me a pm a week or so ago asking how the Nostromo blueprints were coming along, and now after the excellent news about the restoration happening of he original model, thought it'd be a great time to post an update of where it's at. This last few months have seen alot of great new shots of the original models, and it's helped no end. The top, port and starboard views are now complete, and I'm half way through doing the front, and it's progressing well. I've been a fan of this ship since I were a boy, and wanted it drawn up so it'd look cool on my wall, though with 3 models originally made for the film all with different detailing, and parts on the model that don't quite match full size sets, it's quite a challenge. :cool
