Nosferatu (1922) 3D printed bust paintjob - Finished

I think this is a great bust (IMO the likeness is fantastic)
Had it 3D printed at aprox. 25cm / 10 in
It will be a basic black, white and gray brush paint so I'm guessing tomorrow will be finished
Here's my today's work (primer and first coat, Tomorrow will also work on the teeth):

Excellent paint job! I think you nailed the tonal variations

For future reference if doing more work on similar sources my only criticism on it would be the visible print lines.
Not really much you can do unless you sand it smooth, but that might have killed other detail, but still something to consider

Also not sure how it looks in person, so it may not be as noticeable

But then again, I can attribute it to watching it on an old black and white TV where the reception is not perfect and it has those lines :D

Excellent, atmospheric paint job.

If I may add some constructive feedback, but the layer lines are a distraction. I've had good luck with using a thick modelling paste on smaller FDM prints to hide the lines. I stippled and smoothed it on. Easier than filler or resin on a tiny print.

The paint job sort of sucks though lol. Yours is better. It's around 3" tall, and printed on an ender 3 (a few years ago).

Edit....I might actually fi ISH painting him haha

Analyzer Thank you for your comment and for your advice. I was hopping you'd reply once I always pay attention to what you have to say (and you've replied almost to every kit I've painted. - quite a few ). As to this one, yes the lines are also visible in person and as you say not much to do about it - that's the draw back of 3D printing - but then again I would not be able to have half the kits / busts if there was no 3D printing. Sanding and filling, in this case (face) would, as you say, kill the details, but on future paintjobs (depending on the model) sure is something to consider - I don't like those lines at all. Maybe in this case they were even more visible because of the dry brush. Thank you.

ProjeKtWEREWOLF Thanks for your kind words and advice. Sure will try (whenever the model allows) the modeling paste. Those damn lines ruin a bit the kit. Thank you.

You can clearly see the lines around the eyes of my goblin. I don't think I sanded it at all. The scars were modelling paste too (up think it was Liquitex?).
I bought a Resin printer not long after this, I believe (lines are still a problem with my Elegoo Mars 2.....).
