noob question on how much foam to use

hi guys im a total noob to the awesome world of costume building
in one of stealths helpful tutorials i found the pva foam he uses Best Step Antifatigue Foam Floor Mat - Black - Tools - Garage Organization & Shelving - Garage Flooring
im wondering if one roll would do for a whole iron man (probably mark vii) costume
and also how many cans of plastidip i would need to cover the suit 2-3 times

That's a question is'nt it. That would depend on the skill level. I am a noob myself so i'm flying through the foam. Bad cuts and what not. But as you get better you waste less. I can't wait till i get there.Lol...GM

It depends on how tall you are. I've seen several people that were around 6'2 say about three rolls. More average is two. Some people also use thin craft foam in certain areas. So there is a lot of give and take.

I used about two full cans of spray paint and half of two to cover a suit once and I'm about 6'3.

And like Murdoch said it also depends on your skill level XD I made a chest three times and the abs twice because of measurement. With the Mark VII I think the Back is complicated due to the dongles and I would hate to have to remeasure and cut that twice.

I don't think it's a noob question. It's one of those things you have to pass by in comments. Unless you looked at STEALTHS older videos. Plus running out of foam when the suit is getting good would suck.

I am using the 5mm foam sheets from hobby lobby. So far i have used 2 per boot and 3 per shin. they are 12" x 18"

im thinking of getting a 43 by 93 mat from kmart and 2 of them?
is that enough?
and how many cans of plastidip?
