I received my Noble Narnia Susan Horn replica this weekend. Unpacking it, I found it to be smaller than I expected. However, after going through screen grabs, found they pretty well had the size correct.
The Narnia series had two very different horns. The first series was consistent prop to prop in the movie. The Prince of Narnia however switched between the original movie horn that had the clips on the top sides to the second movie version movie with the clips on the bottom side of the horn. The Noble horn replicates the first movie piece although they advertise using both the original and second Prince film replica for some reason. In fact, you can see the two different pieces in the same Noble advertisement below, with the original ( top attachments) in the background and the second Bottom side attachments) in the prince's hand.
Noble produced the first film horn which is good for me as I liked the original movie props and hoped they would replicate more from the first film. MR did a good job with what they made, noble does an OK job with this piece. The painting was slightly sloppy, so I had to trim the slop on the gold painted portions as well metalized the silver mouth piece end. All in all though, it was a very well made piece. Down below is the Noble piece with a little clean up next to WETA's reference book on the original film piece.
Other than a little clean up, I would like to metalize the gold to make it look screen accurate. But otherwise, this is a solid accurate well made replica. If you are a Narnia fan, for the money this is a great replica to get. Noble did great with this one, it is definitely worth adding to any Narnia prop collection.
