Nizam costume

I am wanting to make a Nizam costume from The Prince of Persia but I need to know the name of the fabrics.

Can anyone tell what the name of the fabric that his coat is made from. I have included a picture below.

His coat is a brocade. It could be several different types of fibers though. It's hard to say without a hi-res photo, which I know will be a while yet before we get that. I would guess a garment medium weight brocade though. I would go with natural fibers over polyester types if possible for comfort. The shirt is probably a cotton, silk or linen type.

this shot it looks alot like the type of woven silks ive seen in the asian and indian markets.

does anyone know the name of the coat? I am looking for patterns for the coat and can't find any that look like it.

Hi I found a nice fabric on ebay and I bought it. Its a black silk like material with a gold brocade. here is a link to the ebay shop:

I only bought five meters as I discovered that the coat doesn't go all the way to the floor. its stops just a few inches beneath the knee.
