You should check out the Rubies Licensed version and then improve from there. The latex cowl isn't too bad.

If I was trying to start a Niteowl, I would try and sweet talk Mark into cast a cowl first of all. It is a great looking cowl far more accurate and way higher quality than the Rubies.
