Hey there, I'm working on a SotC (Valus) costume, and really love your work. I have a problem however, I can't hide my seams below pads; do you have any suggestions/tricks to hide the seams but still get a smooth finished joint?
Hello my friends. I am still here and getting serious about another run of these turtle suits. I have made plenty of progress and will start my update by showing this video of me putting on and taking off the boots. turtle costume feet.AVI - YouTube
Now I'm sure some of you would like to point out that it wrinkles a bit around the ankle but of course if I take a tiny bit more care when I put them on to pull up properly then that is eliminated. attaching it onto the kneepad keeps it from falling down. This was more about showing how easily you can slip them on and off.
Now after sculpting all day I have a left hand for my turtle and I will sculpt the other one then mold them both as quickly as possible.
I have put a lot of thought into how I want them to move when cast in rubber giving them extra wrinkle details to control any folding and to provide the flexibility to be able to hold weapons.
Sometimes I wonder how many people have sculpted turtles fingerprints... :confused
I should probably sculpt the other one now while I can see this one for reference, I'll put it in front of a mirror and copy the reflection to make the right hand.
