Ninja 2010 bad guy costume

Hey guys i just watched this film on itunes and really like the bad guys costume set up... i was thinking bike armor maybe.. the face mask is a pretty cool idea, NVG's on a sliding rail system... the sword set up is very 'blade'esque, 2 walther P99's with combined fitted plastic holsters and an asortment of knives and such...

As horrible as this movie was, I love the costume :)

The little flip out sword, and the sliding goggles were awesome.

Didn't like the pistols much (not really ninja-y), but damned if the costume doesn't rock.

NO idea what the base was. Parts look familiar but I can't place em...

He must have to use the bathroom really really badly, or he needs glasses what with all of the squinting.

Neat looking costume though. I'm digging how the night vision looking thing slides together.

I saw this movie listed in the Redbox, and I was like "Huh, a B-movie about a modern-day/futuristic ninja. Wonder if it's any good?" So, tell me guys, how bad is it? :confused

I mean, I see one major faux pas right off the bat: the pistols. In my book, Snake-Eyes and his pupil Kamakura are the only ninjas that are allowed to use guns. For everyone else, it's a major faux pas, and yes that INCLUDES Storm Shadow! (Yes, I'm looking right at YOU, Rise of Cobra version of Storm Shadow! :p)

But aside from that mistake, how is this flick? Worth spending a buck to rent it? :confused

if you like movies like american ninja and any jacki chan fight movies... its good to go...

:lol Oh, I agree completely.

Ninja 2010? I've never even heard of this movie!

It's kinda like a modern samurai.

Really?
I guess you don't know what a samurai looks like.

Modern day ninja would be FAR more appropriate :angry
Sorry, I get annoyed by people confusing samurai and ninja. They are VERY different.

In terms of the costume... there are some interesting ideas, but to be fair I feel like a lot of the costume is not practical considering the needs of a ninja. Placement of throwing stars, darts, and pistols.... as a past student of ninjutsu, it doesn't make sense to me. Not only that, the ninja-to (sword) looks impossible to draw.

Ancient ninja placed their weapons in the spots they did for a reason.... they were practical. This costume... just looks like it was "designed to look cool", like most modern day interpretations. (something that also annoys me).

Sorry if that annoys anyone else's view on this.... It looks cool...But I would never consider it a viable ninja setup

i dnt think anyone will get upset at your response but i think you forgot that this is a costume, not what a modern day ninja would wear :lol i like the sleek design and i like the body armor idea, the sword is a bit wierd and actualy is an expandable sword (in the movie... for real im not making this up)
also alot of people know about ninja and samurai from movies, not from historical documents so forgive them for they know not what they say :lol

Hm. yes. A bit of a testy response... definitely forgot you shouldn't 'drink and post'. Lol

Costumey it is...
I forgot that generally movies are often-times made by people who don't know the truth about ninjas, FOR people who don't know anything about ninjas. :p

But I digress... it is pretty cool armor despite my qualms with it.
