Well....I just did something I swore I would never do unless it was for something I absolutely 100% had to have.....I posted my Golden Ticket up for sale on Ebay.
For the past six years, the Golden Ticket has been my most valuable and authentic piece in my collection.
It would ONLY be for the shoes....or a down payment on a DeLorean....that I would ever let this thing go.
Hoping to snag a pair of the shoes for 3k but would prefer to pay 2.....or 1 for that matter!

Someone should tell Nike..... These shoes were not meant to cater only to the super-rich. Everyone in the world has the right to enjoy this footwear.

Part of me wants to say that MJF deserves as much as he can get for his charity, but yeah the larger part of me agrees with you whole heartedly.

Your words remind me of that scene in Jurassic Park where Hammond tells the lawyer the exact same thing....so very very true.

What if we had that machine from The Prestige? Then we could make as many as we wanted...but then we would have to shoot the copy so it was none the wiser.

My take on the "bidders" is that if you look at the bids I'm pretty sure there are a couple of people bidding on multiple shoes. Just look at the bids themselves. 3,4,5 pairs have the same bid amounts.

Hehe, it was completely intentional and the quote I was going for. It's doubtful we're going to get a "coupon day" for the Mags though.... :(

These are my figures from last nights auctions

There are obviously multiple people placing bids on more than 10.

So I added it up two more times to get the number accurate.

Here is the final tally for the first night.

$911,927.34

And while I was tallying these up I came across these numbers, kind of weird, but I know these must be the same bidders.

5 different times there were bids of $8,100

10 different times there were bids of $7,600

7 different times there were bids of $7,100

7 different times there were bids of $6,600

6 different times there were bids of $6,200

10 different times there were bids of $6,100

9 different times there were bids of $6,000

14 different times there were bids of $5,600 - some bids were $5,650, I'd imagine those were the people breaking these peoples or persons minimum

16 different times there were bids of $5,100

11 different times there were bids of $5,000

The last 5 were bids of $4,500

A few of these bids that were odd seemed like people breaking people's minimums.

I hope there is a chance I can get a size 8 for around 3k since that is what I am gearing up to spend....

Nike Mag Auction Day 2 Total Amount - $647,890.90

Highest - $10,200 for Size 11
Lowest - $3,550 for Size 7

I didn't get time to check the different raises in bidding amount. I have included links in the Google Doc if anybody wants to check each listings.

But as TxBabyHuey and nwjedidave already mentioned, lot of people are indeed bidding on multiple auctions. Many final prices are matching exactly, so many buyers are mostly hoarders who will end putting them on eBay again with crazy BIN prices.

If anyone who wants to buy the Nike Mags and is not planning to wear them, then it is better to bid on the lower sizes for a better price.

The 3.5k ones were only for size 7 and 8. Rest were 3.8k-6k

Day 2 quantities of sizes:

Size 7 - 13
Size 8 - 13
Size 9 - 30
Size 10 - 40
Size 11 - 30
Size 12 - 15
Size 13 - 9

In case anyone didn't know, I believe the original screen-worn shoes were a size 8.
I would primarily only display mine - if I got them - but of course would wear them ONLY indoors on carpeted floor. I can squeeze into a size 8 but typically wear 8.5

It bums out to know when a fellow collector has to part with his valuable collectible. I do hope the Golden Ticket gets sold so you can get one Nike Mag for yourself. Try to bid at least before 7th or 8th day, after that things might go more crazy with the prices; as many others who were waiting will be desperate to acquire one too.
