EL Lighting Panel for Ankle Bubble Area. Simulates LED's red, yellow and green.

How do these look lit up? My EL needed an extra yellow filter just to bring the colour temperature down to close to 6500K. Without the additional yellow, the red was actually magenta.

Fitted my letters today. These still need a trim though to help blend them in. I do like their sharp detailed look.

Size comparison where mine are about 20% larger.

Because these new letters were degassed in the mold, all the air has been sucked out and they take the true form of the mold. The earlier letters' rubber was degassed, but air bubbles can still trap them selves in the mold resulting in pits.

As promised, photos of the new Glow In The Dark kits I am working on.

A quick test casting a shadow with my hand and the GITD was bright enough to be captured by the camera. This is impressive stuff.
Notice the white colour to the rubber instead of the snot colour it normally is.

A simulation behind a clear sole. This looks nice.

And a brightness test next some of the old stuff. If just 5% increase makes this much of a difference, imagine what it might be like at 25% or even upto 50%.

So I de-molded these a bit early for the testing. They were not really going to be ready until midnight my time, but I needed to see what they were going to do a few hours ago.

3 things I have done differently from my previous GITD kits -

1. I had machined parts made up and molded those to allow each new part to be exact.
2. I added white pigment to the clear + GITD powder to make the rubber white and not have that "custard yellow" look to it. It is still slightly off white, but not yellow.
3. I increased the amount of GITD powder from 15% to 20% and I want to push this even higher. In the end of the day, the more powder, the more light absorbing power it will have and the brighter it will be (refer to image 3)

And a video

The heelcup on the left is a standard V2 heelcup.

Also, Cavx, that GITD set with the machined parts and higher percentage looks great!
More and more tempting for me to get a set of the new even clearer soles with this new GITD mix...... Just gotta get another pair of MAGs to put them on, lol!

Is this a teasing or just a heelcup painted ? :popcorn

Just a painted normal cup. Mine are more rounded now and have a better shape.

These will be interesting to see how they go once exposed to full sun. It is overcast night now, but they should be good.

Does any one know what the RD nike mag strap is made of leather ? Vinyl? rubber ? any guesses ? and If it's not any trouble anyone with a pair could send me some images like the clear soles, bottom of it, and etc.

I don't know who's picture are these but anyway, I think it is leather, but I used vinyl and it is as good as this.

I have to share this here because this is impressive.

The instructions that came with the Glow Powder state a maximum of 15%/Volume. That is only 1.5g per 10g of clear. The results were pretty impressive, but the glow died down after a few minutes and remained at a low glow for a few hours (about 6).

I have been increasing the amounts of Glow Powder. The latest batch I did today is 50% of the volume or 1:1 with the clear. I mixed 10g of Glow to 5g of Part A and 5g of Part B.
This image was captured at 9min past 6PM my time after several minutes in sunlight to charge.

At the of posting this, it is now 9min past 7PM and I could use the light coming off this latest batch to identify my keys.

This is a winner!

Hi all,

So I've finally worked up the nerve to mod my V2's. I have just about everything I need and I feel confident that I can make this work. I just have one unanswered question. The wires on the 9V inverter that I need to splice the LEDs into are not polarized. Anybody know how to wire up the LED lights correctly in this scenario?

(The red and black wires off to the right run to the battery).
