Yes they are. Normally I would have posted images first, but mine are still sitting on the shelf. I have a 10KM walk this Friday night which I am doing in my MAGs. So the only mod I will do to them is to light the strap with EL. After that is done, I will driven to tear off my current soles and add EL and the new clears.

They are looking great man!
The first batch are still looking so sweet on my mags, can't wait to wear them tonight (of course, while watching BTTF2) and also for Halloween. I feel like a lot of people will be asking about those shoes.

Does anyone offer a service to do the modding work? send the shoes to you and have the lace strap light up and improve the sole lights?

Good to hear. I wore my shoes pretty much all day today, lugged all my props down a local shopping centre's "pop culture" shop where people seemed to come from everywhere wanting a photo, then off to the cinema to watch BTTF 30th. My wife dressed in her "Jennifer" and I had "Marty pre 2015 jacket) but decided to bring the Hover Board. As soon as we bought the tickets, there was a voice over their 2 way system asking the staff to get a photo.

Source? There is one news person claiming they are in NYC, but no actual source or story to go with it.

Nike PR Director Heidi Burgett tweeted that they are in NYC
"First pair" how do we know that isn't the filming prop? They would be the first after all.
I still think that there will be no release. Instead we'll get something akin to Lexus' "hoverboard" if we get anything at all.

I don't think they will release today either - they are just going to show people that they were able to make them by 10/21 and probably auction off a limited amount in the future.

I think you could be right.
Maybe they have made the version they said in their patent.
So something thats working and functional, but not really sellable at this moment.
So basically just a prop they can show on 21st just to please some people.
who knows.
