An A6 sheet i have can do 1 pair of shoes. It has 4 connection pins in total and no other tabs.

If you are using A4, then you may want a sheet where there are usable tabs all around the sheet like in your picture.
Those type of sheets come with some connection pins, but you can also use the other tabs with wire glue.

Having said that, I am planning to go ahead with a limited run shortly of precut, assembled kits.
They will consist of following hopefully:

1.) 2 x EL Strap Panels (No Logos) complete with cables preattached.
2.) 2 x EL Sole Cutouts complete with cables preattached. No need to block out the ends or use grey tape, the sole cutouts will only light up in the areas required, exactly like the official ones.

I will have plenty available and will be putting some up in the junkyard soon hopefully.

Its custom fabricated so will more or less be exactly like the official Nike ones.
A million times superior to hand cut ones as these will be pre cut and no need to even solder anything, all ready to install.

Hello fellow air mag fans. I recently purchased a pair of, HC mags. Replicas or Nike's would have been great, but the wife would kill me. Lol Anyways I have been searching and reading like crazy, but I can't find the tutorial anywhere on how to flatten the laces. Can anyone please explain how? Or link me directly to the tutorial? I would greatly appreciate it.

Mods I've done so far are... Toe slim, straps, and waiting on my order for the the Nike mag emblem bundle. So far it's a huge improvement over the standard look. Any help or advice on those laces would be great. Thanks in advance.

Flattening the laces is pretty much the same as the slimming the toe box with steam. Use a wet towel and iron. The problem with the HC shoes is that have a molded foam part in there and it is not easy to flatten out.

HelmSt, to flatten them, just use a damp cloth & place it over the lace ridges. then run an iron over the damp cloth repeatedly until desired result.

jeyprime cavx Will a blow dryer do the trick as well? I used a blow dryer on the toe slim and achieved the same results as the damp cloth/iron method. I prefer this method, because an iron on the shoe makes me nervous. Lol

Just be careful that the hot air from the dryer does not burn (cause a colour change to) the cloth. You might still want to use the wet (wrung out of course) cloth to protect the fabric.

Yeah, going slow is key! I managed to save my EL but used a new one anyway as it meant i could shape them better. Never really liked how my ELs looked until I re-did them for these soles.

For the charging jack..I believe you just need to get the jack and plug and then wire up the jack like this....

That diagram was posted on here before, so that's what i followed and it worked for me.

And then to make the charging wires, you just need 9v battery clips to wire to the input jack. Just use the charger you ordered then.

And yeah I believe Jedifyfe's are rechargeable, as well as Taff83 and a few others.

Ok when using this wiring setup so the shoes have to be on to charge? They've been plugged in for an hour and a half and they're still not showing any charge difference then it hit me that the circuit isn't open until the button is in the on position would it be necessary to have the shoes on to charge??

Any idea of a price? Like I mentioned I have some EL already, but any extra I might need I'm up for an easier option. When will they be ready? I'll probably be back in the UK around July for a bit.

om and off but when u plug in the do jack the shoes go out but the button is still in the on position I leave it for a few hours and nothing no charging at all I try with the button in the off position and still nothing no charge can anyone help? Jedifyfe airair Vormz

I wired mine up like that and they charged alright, haven't had rechargeable batteries for a while though.

If you plug a battery into the end of your charging wire and take the battery out of the bottom of the shoe, does the shoe still light up?

I just did the regular setup (no charging port) and my electronic knowledge is limited, sorry.
