Well what I can see in your video is just the regular behavior of the V2s lights when the battery is empty. The blue light is off, the green and orange lights are dim, only the red lights are still on. If you put the USB charger to this shoe all lights should light up again. If not, you probably broke a wire off the shoe's usb port.

This is a common question in the thread. Seems to come up every time a first timer gets their EL sheet. Don't worry it's completely normal. The 5x6 sheet is too big for the 9v inverter, but will work with the 12v. Once you cut the EL into smaller pieces, the 9v will work fine.

I got ripples with the first shoe. I went back and re-did it and seems to have worked out. The toe box is multi-layered with the rubberized(?) material we want to reshape laminated between cloth and possibly some thin foam. As the toe box deforms, it ripples and will take the cloth to the same shape with it because it is glued on. I worked my fingers inside the shoe to smooth out the ripples I could feel. I was worried that I would reshape the toe box back into the original shape. It won't go back to that original boot shape because we don't have that shape "last" to stuff in there. You have a given surface area and you need to remember it can't get any bigger. So stuffing a sock made it easier for sure and basically you need to really pack it in there. Don't worry that it slightly bulges the sides of the shoe.

Unlike cutting the toe open, you are not reducing the size of the toe box, so it needs to be pushed out or it will wrinkle.

Follow this to remove the ripples:

heat up only a small area of the toe box where you want to straighten out the ripples
Put one hand inside the shoe, put a protective fabric on top of the shoe, "shoot" some steam into the area you want to modify, and then push against any dents from inside out.
Then hold the hot fabric flat with both hands until it settles in the shape you want it to.


Then move on to the next segment and so on.

Typical of the cheap, nasty wiring. Both the charge ports and switches fell off my wear pair. I have two pair and one shoe of 2nd pair (which have never been on my feet) won't hold charge now. I set them up for charge and left them over night. The Blue LEDs on the right shoe were dim like the battery was almost flat. Crap electronics for sure.

Same thing happen to mine.

Best not to let them charge over night if you want to keep the OG wiring :/

Well.... im a bit peeved at the moment "Karin Chen" as recommended on here seems to be full of empty promises!,..... on the site says shipped via EMS and 5-10 days for delivery to the UK..... well my order went through on the 26th of Feb and from what i can tell from tracking info it was maybe picked up a day ago and hasnt left singapore?... also... not using EMS it seems but "singapore post".

anyone else had this happen using "karin chen" ,.... or have any idea about singapore post? EMS has always been good to me in the past... china post has been alright but lacks any form of decent tracking it seems... but ive never had singapore post used before,, i can only pray that it is similar to china post in that it lacks tracking and it will just turn up delivered by the local royal mail postie!!!

feeling a bit let down about it all as im itching to get them, get the new toe mod done and order up some EL!!!!

I'm having crazy trouble as well, with tracking.. With karin chen.. I thought that you were able to track yours? As I said before, my tracking won't even show up.. I tried the tracking website that you mentioned, and I got nothing.. How did you track yours, if it's not ems... I have stayed in constant contact with her, and she keeps saying to wait till Sunday ANC if it doesn't show up she'll resend, but she won't give me an exact date when it was shipped... I know exactly how you feel dude! Could you try my tracking number and tell me if you get anything? EE920215040CN
