Hey Guys

Want to buy my pair of mags, who is the best to buy them from in good quality?

Also does anyone sell any complete DIY kits to transform them into the exact movie replicas?

Cheers :)

Many bought from Karen Chen at Aliexpress. She is reliable and quick to ship.
As far as kits, the process to convert these is more complicated than getting a kit.
You have to take the shoe apart, hollow out the soles to fit battery, slim the front toes of the shoe, re-glue carefully, on top of replacing wires, adding new lighted strap, replacing sole with clear rubber, etc... Nobody can offer a kit to do that. The most they can offer would be a wiring and the strap that lights... The rest of the mod to make these close to screen accurate (I say close because you can't get 100%) will be achieved with good old elbow grease, effort and dedicated time.

Hey Thanks for the reply

I found Karen Chen's page so I will buy through her, she has good feedback.

With regards to the kit i mean does someone sell an electronics kit with all the required parts to do the conversion yourself, we dont have access to much stuff here down-under.

Again I haven't read all 132 pages, however due to someone's question I read in the last few pages sounds like the below recipe may not be in here. Regarding the rubber going yellow and how to get it clear again. Here's a pretty good "Soup/Sauce" as it's often referred to for turning yellowing rubber back to clear again or removing them yellowing all together.

Hydrogen Peroxide, powder Oxy Clean, and sun light. I put some hydrogen peroxide in a clear glass or plastic container. Add about 1/2 tbsp of Oxy clean. Dip your parts, pieces, souls around in the liquid, then lay them out in the sun. It's best to re-wet your piece every couple hours if possible. If the mixture has too much Oxy and foams up, it will slow the process down a bit. And having the part submerged vs re-wetting every couple hours seams to be the same. Leave in direct sunlight all day. Repeat until you are happy. There's also another in-depth thread I found a long time ago with different methods. Using Sauce - Restore My Sneakers

As for the comment "One factory Makes all the knock offs" I'm not too sure about that. I've got a buddy here in Miami that gets Mags and they are SPOT on. He wants quite a bit for them, $400+, however I just did an image search and realized he may be getting them from DHGate. Again, not sure if you guys are ordering from here, but these look spot on. Hey thanks for the info, Ill check out the sauce method! as for those replicas your friend gets, they seem to look exactly the same as all the ones the sellers in china get, except he is selling them for about double the price. I just bought a pair that looks the same as the photo you posted but for 200 USD shipped. The photo you posted has the same LED's for the soles and heel cap as the ones from china and what appears to be the same glow in the dark strap that all the ychinese knockoffs have as well. Im not certain that they are all exactly the same as I dont own a pair from multiple different sources but from pictures Ive seen from other members they do indeed seem to all come from one manufacturer! cept all the ones you can buy within the US seem to be at least 50 bucks more expensive

Also that dhgate site seems to use the same pictures that all the chinese sellers use as well and have been using for awhile i believe

I think there is someone who sells completed lighted Nike straps. Hopefully they will step forward to let you know.
Perhaps you can commission someone to out a wiring harness set together with blueprint or instructions on hooking it up.
Or maybe just commission someone to do the whole conversion. Have the shoes ship from the factory direct to them, and then pay to have them convert them before shipping them to you. I got a pair if Jedifyfe's conversions and they are INCREDIBLE :)

Tarchinoko - No prob. Give it a try. I know for a fact it works and works wonderfully. As I said, I Google Searched the images he was using, and linked it to where it brought me.

I found this - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Nike...ditions-Shoes-1-1-quality-Amy/1588872371.html

Seems to be a propper 1:1 replica...

those are promotional pictures of the 2011 official nike mags, not of any replicas

there is no 1:1 replica! fact.

Hi, no need to be unsure about anything. 100% fact is that all the knockoff mags are made from the same factory, same moulds.
They keep churning them out because they are high sellers.

The picture you just posted up of the mags of your "buddy here in Miami" is of the same knockoff pictures that were posted up ages back in late 2012. Those are clearly knockoffs, and they don't "look spot on".

Don't you see the glow in the dark strap? you can straight away tell the shoe is a knockoff, i'm not going to go into detail, but just get a picture of the 2011 shoes and compare and the differences become apparent immediately.

It doesn't matter where you buy them from, whichever website, you will get the exact same knockoff shoes that everybody else has.

If someone chooses to pay $400 instead of $250 well thats the buyers choice and decision, but you get the exact same shoes and thats a FACT.

There are no 1:1 shoes as of yet, all of the knockoffs have glow in the dark straps and cheap LEDs in the ankle and soles, so its a case of manually modifying them as done so expertly and masterfully by The Modfather Jedifyfe!

Once done though, the differences are minimal to the untrained eye.

Your buddy is just buying the same knockoffs as everyone else and trying to make some profit by over pricing them.
You can get the knockoffs for $250, no need to pay $400!

It would appear that the first image in the link above is the 2011 NIKE MAG. And as we all know, no knock off looks like that and no RD MAG would ever sell so cheap. The 2nd image is clearly the V2 MAG.

well i finished first toe mod all and all it looks ok for my first ,but some how a spot of glue got on side of :( IMG_0585.jpgIMG_0584.jpg
any advice how to get it out but im wearing these and buying 2 more pairs i have learnd a lot from first shot especially not what to do lol but my wife wants to kill me

found this little extract of information!

"Plasti Dip is available in 11 oz. Aerosol Spray and in liquid form in 7.25 oz, 14.5 oz., 22 oz., 1, 5 and 50 Gallon cans, pails and drums. Plasti Dip is also available with a UV inhibiting additive that protects both the item coated and the Plasti Dip itself from long term exposure to direct sunlight. This additive is standard in the Aerosol Spray but is only available in 1 Gallon and larger sizes of liquid."

With this in mind I think im going to buy the aerosol version of clear plastidip and spray it on the rubber sections of the shoes!
