This Nike Mag Mod is taking some time to perfect but it is coming along nicely i have took the V2 out sole/form and made it into RD Mag shape. I shaved the back down/ and added a thicker toe front ,plus now i have the cloneprops heel cups and ankle bubble set every thing will be molded and
re-casted progress pics will be posted shortly once molds are done drying.

can't wait to see bro :)
im on my first pair and found its better to walk way for a min and go back iv workt hours and found i get inpatient and jack stuff up i put a small tear in my clear sole but fixt i should have kept more heat on it :( my first shoe it came right off??? from what i now know from jedifyfe each shoe is different and some have more glue than others there all deferent animals even though they come from same place WEIRD they have to be hand made ,,,,in which makes me even sader probly by small children
:cry

when you guys did the full mod did you all take the sole completely off the shoe? Because right now im finding it hard getting into the space and im considering ripping the whole sole and heel cup off the fabric and gluing it all back after the mod

Tarchinoko You can peel off the back peace easy and mostly 90% of the shoe /but be extra careful when peeling the rubber it can rip very easy so try to use a hair dryer and run it across the area a few more times it should come off with enough elbow grease and time. Dont Use/ heat gun it will melt your shoe stay away from the sole directly try to cover or tape area / masking tape/when blow drying and this will help from the sole turning yellow or browning from heat. goo gone will clean up any extra sticky film left over from the tape. I have my shoe in many different peaces from what i can tell you this mod is different for everyone it depends on what you are looking for a Grade A Mod or a reconstruction no matter the case or out come it is all worth it

Absolutely. On my first pair, the left shoe was easy to separate the clear sole EL area. The right shoe was significantly harder. On this 2nd pair I'm finishing now, the left one was terrible, and the right one absolutely ridiculous. I wanted to throw it across the room! Most of it just refused to separate, no matter how much blow drying I did to it. I ended up doing some very careful scalpel cutting, and then (also very carefully) dremeling some grey rubber off of the clear. If you must do some cutting and there's no way around it, do it into the grey rubber and NOT the clear. THANK GOD at least the two triangle areas where the EL goes are not glued to the grey sole, but rather just have those loose clear pieces behind.

Some people may say that I have an obsession. Lol. All but 2 of these are mine. The real MAGs are on the bottom.

Wow cool, guess Karin Chen likes you! The boxes you got held up really well. Mine were both a bit damaged (not too bad, but not perfect). I only have 2 V2 MAGs and 2 pairs of every colour of the V1s but a nice big (or obsessively large as my GF calls it) stack of other shoes as well like Jordans and Reeboks and Air Maxs so don't feel bad about having a collection, there's many of us out there - I guess a fair few people who'd be willing to spend on even V2 MAGS (let alone the real ones) probably have a bit of a collection right? :)

Okay bttf fans i gave my sole a face lift and new clay grey paint job, you like the new look?

This is my back sole custom trim to fit bubble and give it the RD. Mag look.

Your work looks great.
So is that mid-sole the original repainted or your own cast version of it? Wasn't making your own the goal?
Are the Heel Cups cast off the V2 ones or taken from CPs? I would suggest that the RD heel Cups are longer (vertically taller) than the V2 and that trimming the mid-sole without extending the Heel Cup may make it sit too low.

Okay guys here is the trick to spraying your shell with paint and for it not to chip off or crack /1st you spray shell / in a place were the sun will shine directly on it / it will bake the shell plastic witch will make the pours open and stick better > once sprayed/ Mod the speckle splat pattern then spray 2 coats of clear Matt finish spray paint >This will lighten the grey to the true clay color plus it locks in and coats the speckle splat pattern / Let dry in the sun for 30 to 45 min/ final step /Take the the sprayed items and place them somewhere Cold or put a fan directly one it /Let dry for 48hrs /this will complete the paint bonding process to the plastic or rubber sprayed areas. F.Y.I. Spray light and careful coats/ Not to close..

I have the cloneprops heel cup set from what i can see by eye the heel cup is bigger than the V2 heel cup. So the size difference should compensate.

JediFyfe I love how even though you have RD Mags you still love and respect your Mod Mags! I guess it makes sense though since you are the Mag ModFather!

I have a pair of Mags that I got the hair dryer too close too the upper fabric and scortched the right outside toe box. I'm considering doing a black pair of customs. Does anyone know of a good fabric paint or dye to use? Any help or advice on things I could do or use on these Mags is appreciated.

Hahaha. Yeah. I like the modded MAGs a lot. It's like the hunt to make these better and better. I rarely take my RD Mags out of the yellow box that is inside the double packed brown box.

I did a quick test spot with some normal acrylic spray paint and then sealed it with matte spray. I will see if it chips or flakes. Since it's on the bottom of the shoe it will get the most wear.
