Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

There is a new batch I have a friend that works with david and he said that daivd had made a second batch with new stuff like better clears and and hopefully better el that won't have that black line problem

Awesome. So my second pair will be my display pair. ;)
Of course I'd planned to order a second. I've got MP's, (even though i could never wear them, feet a bit too big) almost every colour of V1's, three pairs of V2's, the disappointing HC's, and the black Xcoser 'Mags' so gotta have at least more than one of these close-to-perfect V3's.
I guess with time they get better at making them? Maybe because people like us keep being fussy about things. Maybe we're improving quality control. :D

It's worth noting that the soles will likely yellow regardless of what batch you're in. The first batch is probably a few weeks older and this is just showing it more.
Clear soles are hard to keep from yellowing even for the big names.

I know, my old Jordan 5s and 6s are very yellow in the clear parts of their soles. Though they do go yellow slower than the V2's did. However, since I replaced the yellow soles with what Cavx manufactured, they've not gone yellow at all. The only faults I could possibly find with the first version of his sole replacements were I had to cut them down a bit (since he made them for a bigger size, but has now got multiple sizes) and that they seem to be wearing away a little faster than the V2 original soles did. But even the original release look 10 times better than yellow V2 soles.
I have another pair of Cavx's second run clear soles which I haven't gotten around to installing on anything yet, so can't comment much on those other than they look even clearer, when holding them loose. :D

so how do david and rebecca know when items are seized at customs
do they verify by tracking number?
or are they eventually shipped back?
wonder how long they wait for reshipping if customs makes a mess....
its as relief

It's not perfect yet, but attached a comparison picture. Hard to get an even coat with a q-tip so it's kinda streaky with only 1 coat on right now. I might mask it off and just spray it lightly.

No I ordered them from Dragonkicks, I was saying...if they can make $80 sneakers look like the originals (as far as the build/glueing ect.) you'd think David and his crew would have amazing quality control for $600. Again I know the shoes are completely different to assemble then other reps, but still.
I tried this, but the alcohol didn't permanently change the cloudyness. Only temporarily. Then the alcohol evaporated and it went back to normal.

Any link ? I only find Jordans no Yeezy on the website I found :/

I should have been more specific it was the air yeezy 2...not the boosts.

The alcohol was just used to clean the bubble to make sure there wasn't grease or anything, then I used a q-tip dipped in gloss clear coat.

Didn't try acetone, but I did try polish which helped. But even better...I then cleaned them with iso alch and with a q-tip rubbed clear coat on them which made them more transparent. (if you put a drop of water on a q-tip and touch it to the led bubble watch what it does, same thing that happens with clear coat but it stays)

Is this the first actual documented modding of the $600 V3s? :) The ice has been broken. It has begun!

Thanks for the tip, WizardBTTF. Will try it (spray) when my V3's get here.
Wonder if they'd be open to selling other colour V3's like your blue (photoshopped?) avatar pic. Quite like that colour set as well.

im also wondering if one can ship their sets back once they figure the self lacing mechanism and they just "refurbish" your pair for a fee
who knows
it might be possible

Even if the knock off makers ever make Power Laced Mags (which I doubt, but I've been wrong before) they couldn't just "refurbish" them. The soles and other pieces would be significantly different to accommodate the changes.

Don't hold your breath.

BTTF fan here, been contemplating getting replica air mags... V2 or V3 what price range am I looking at?
V2 will run you between 200$-400$, while V3 will cost you $600. My advice, go for the V3's, ask for pictures of YOUR pair when you order, and then post the pics here so we can check them for any flaws.

How are the quality of replicas? V2 and V3? Also for the V3 how do they not get stopped at customs? Are they ready to ship or do they make them?

hi, i want to know if someone already make this kind of mod... it´s in the sole, but i don´t want to take out the sole... any suggestions? :sView attachment 649286View attachment 649287

Yeah I did it to mine.

The easiest way is to cut away the excess mid-sole and re-glue the heel cup. The hardest part is then blending the curve of the inner and outer wings to look like they just flow to the back of the heel cup and not look like you have just cut the back away.

I have been able to blend mine using a light grey rubber that I coated the mid-sole/heel cup with prior to applying aqua rubber for the splatter. Mine has not being an easy path.

I am going to suggest that you almost will have to pollish the surface back to get it more clear using 800 to 1200 grit wet and dry.

The V2's are about 50% accurate, and they have barely acceptable quality. The V3's are about 95% accurate, with amazing quality for replicas. The V3's are the closest you can get to the real ones as of this date. I'm not sure about customs, but if they do get seized, they will send you a new pair (just use a different name, phone number, and address). They may be ready to ship, or they may have to make them, it all depends on the timing of your order.

So these guys supposedly reversed engineered a pair of authentic Mags to make the V3s - but how the hell did they manage to get the dimensions for a full size run? Doesn't that take some serious skills? And the materials as well - they are so close to the authentics that I'm sure they are getting them from the same venders as Nike. Just some random thoughts.

Regardless I'm so happy they cracked the code and are making these V3s!!!

They are professional shoe makers after all.

They would have 3D scanned the real shoe and then created their 3D model. From there, scale up and down to make the various sizes. 3D print parts and have molds made.
Even though we are seeing some less than perfect production here, many people underestimate the Chinese and their ability to produce a precision product.

If you own a Cannon Camera with detachable lenses, know right now that even though the lenses have "MADE IN JAPAN" on them, they are in fact MADE IN CHINA as OEM and assembled in JAPAN. Now when you consider the specs required for precision optics, making these shoes is nothing.

The difference is the way and the numbers in which these are being assembled.

Has anyones been seized? Wow pretty expensive for replicas but I totally get it, the closest thing that fans will ever get.

SpecillK had their pair seized. David (The guy who makes the V3's) Said that if the shoes don;t get delivered, they will refund or reship
