I believe the power source for the RDs is in the ankle buckle.

Apperently there is a pretty big clamp down on counterfeit goods entering the country. Very sad day. To be fair to the seller on aliexpress I did get a full refund as their terms of sale covered non delivery if customs seized the goods.

I walked all over San Diego gas lamp district. Walked at least 2-3 miles. For at least 4-5 hours. Nothing broke. Lights lasted at least 6 hours with no dimming. Probably could've gone 8-9 hours. The soles are almost untouched and I disnt go light on them. I dragged my feet and didn't step lightly. I'll post pics of the soles tomorrow. Here they are after 2 miles.

I am actually starting to think they made a freaking quality shoe here. It seems like we can actually wear them without worrying they will go out at any moment. Are you feeling pretty confident about them too? Do you get a lot of reactions to them or do people even realize what they are?

That's incredible, I have been so sceptical about wearing mine for large amounts of time or even kinda short amounts but this has made me want to wear them as much as I like thanks for this test Jedifyfe

If you don't mind answering, what are your thoughts on the fact that the V3s use LiPo batteries (which can be unsafe, especially if it's some no-name brand from China) and are under your foot?

Not too worried. I've been wearing my modded V2's with Li Ion batteries under my heal. We shall see.

I am hoping for the best, but as I do research, I think they will either destroy them or charge me a customs fee. I am trying to contact David now to have him re-ship another pair or set some sort of remedy up.

I don't really think they will get destroyed customs service don't have enough knowledge about the shoes to know they're replicas, but you'll probably get customs fee.

I got hit with a custom fee in the UK and it was £3.75, I know David marks the value as $27.40
