Do they make that pen in AQUA? That is what I need as one MAG is nearly worn off from constant wearing.

Not sure buddy, its gonna be a difficult one to come across. With my paint splatter on markpoon mags I used a pot of acrylic and painted it on

Yeah same for the V1s. I mixed equal parts of green and blue from the same paint brand/line and it looked pretty good. I splattered using a plastic brush but would think hand painting letters might be a right PITA.
Anyway, did a different mod tonight and thought I would share it.
OUTRIGGER soles
Both are now done but I not gluing them just yet and I would like the rubber to pre-stretch a bit first.

This is a just a production sample from the 2011 release. This picture was in the Sole Collector Nike Mag issue in 2011. I think Sole Collector only put it up on their website recently as part of their top 10 sneaker releases of the decade.

Hello everyone,
I ordered my Mags back near the beginning of March from Karin. The last update from EMS was on March 7th, saying the shoes had been dispatched from the sorting center in Shanghai. I alerted Karin of this and she said that the shoes should be in transit to the US. Patience I can do, but an update would be nice.
I wanted to know if any of you had gone without any updates prior to your shoes arriving? Is it common to wait this long for them when shipping to the US? Any feedback would be most helpful. Thanks!

I think its safe to say that a V3 is never coming. If only they made a decently accurate version without lights. Then we modders wouldn't have to rip stuff out.

I am going to suggest that the reason there is no V3 is because they simply have not sold as many pairs as they were hoping to warrant the costs of new molds.
From a manufactures perspective, you generally do not revise a product unless you know you will at least re-coupe your costs. Looking at Karen Chen's site, and shes only sold about 100 pairs of these since they were released. Not sure how many sellers are out there or how many pairs each has sold but I will suggest it is not enough.
A steel mold for say the sole will cost upwards of USD$5K (and that is made in China, not the US), and these shoes have at least 4 different cast parts = 4 different molds. So a product change is a big outlay and one we are not likely to see unless 2015 brings in the hordes of MAG want to be owners.
Whilst I have worn Hi-Tops since the late 80's, there was a time when it was almost impossible to find anything that extended half an inch over the ankle. And the MAG is tall and the sort of shoe you won't wear with shorts making Hi-Tops more suited to the cooler parts of the world.

Anyone got their via EMS to Germany? The tracking says my parcel was delivered and signed. But it is not here. It cleared customs on March 11 in Frankfurt and then went to Nueremberg on March 12th. Then it was handed over to some person in Nuremberg between 12:00 and 16:59 o'clock (?!). I got the name of the person, the city, but no signature is visible. The persons's name seems not registered in Nuremberg and not in the telephone books to track down an address where the parcel may be.
That city is near my home town, but not my home town. Actually my parcels used to come right to my door or I had to pick them up at the local customs office, but my customs office used to be Erlangen, NOT Nuremberg, so I am a bit confused where my parcel is... got no e-/snail-mail from anyone though :-/

They X-Ray everything, so they know what is in the box well before you get it.
I had a bit of scare with my last pair because tracing showed them being signed for by a person at about lunch time. Lucky for me, it was the post office master and he signed for them because he knows my name and PO Box number. Weird (and slightly frustrating) part is there was no red card to state that I had a parcel waiting that needed to be signed for, so if they weren't honest, it would have been easy for them to state a lost parcel.

sounds pretty much the same as what i am getting service wise from Karin,.... i am pretty sick of being told "dont worry friend"..... mine however is to the UK,... i ordered back in feb 26th and the one tracking update was on the 5th of march... saying it was "pending shipment from merchant" << which i would read as Karin has arranged a pickup but they havent got the item to send yet,........ Karin however says "this means the item is on its way, dont worry friend",...
i know people have given Karin good reviews in the past but so far she has been one of the worst for tracking and definitely the slowest services i have ever used!,.. in future i think i will pay a little extra and try another seller,....

just checked the tracking again... and it has basically proved that i have been lied to for around 2 weeks..... the item had not even been collected!...

notice the dates,,, her message 11th march,,, and it has only been collected 6 days later on the 17th!!!!! she is talking rubbish when she has repeatedly told me the item was "on its way" ...
i sent her a message asking why she felt the need to lie to me repeatedly?!...
i dont think she gets that we dont mind the wait as long as we are not being lied to about tracking and the whereabouts of our parcels... im pretty pissed at her right now though!

One week in and failed electronics...
Had multiple issues with both shoes, been a case of fix one and the other breaks. I've now given up. It was a good idea to encase the battery and board in acrylic, but they failed to strengthen the cables causing breaking where the acrylic casing starts. I tried to fix this as best as I could and had the heel LEDs running for another two days but the soldering has broken away and I'm fed up of it now. I may put the heel on a separate circuit with stronger wiring at as later date but I'm that pissed off with them that I'll be leaving it until the weekend.
On a more positive note, I've been doing some crazy mileage over the past week in these shoes and they're holding up tremendously. There's some normal wear on the bottom of the heel and toe from walking, yellowing underneath and slight Velcro catching on the tongue but otherwise they're pretty robust.
My only suggestions for improvement (which obviously we won't see from them but what the hell) is to change the Velcro part on the shoe to the sharper hook end to prevent catching on the shoe body and tongue when buckling up and to stop using piece of **** cheap wiring and use something that will last for the life of the shoe.
Apart from that I'm really happy with the actual shoe, they'll do until next year eh? ;-)

it said 3 days process and 5-10 days delivery,, with a full refund if it is not delivered before 27 days guarantee,.. i ordered on the 26th of feb,.... therefore it is currently the 20th day,.. its got a week to get to me or il take a full refund apparently?... (not sure quite how this works with ali-express) ,
he big joke is, now it has finally been sent it will probably get here in about a week,,, which no doubt could of been done 3 weeks back almost?,.. bit disappointed really! guess i will order up the EL and wires and cross my fingers the shoes turn up before the end of the month eh!
