Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Well, I don't have any V3's size 9 to compare my 9.5's with, but here's some photos of the 9.5's compared with others. The two shoes they're next to are genuine Air Max 90's and Air Max 95's (bought from footlockers) so the size seems to be about right for 9.5's US - just that small toebox makes them feel a bit smaller than they actually are I guess.

Saw the video. Are you working with a connection on each panel then merging them to one, bypassing the bridge between them?

The kit I have has this metalized tape that could be used to bridge the two parts. You would need to run electrical tape to keep the tape from shorting out.

you also should dig around the shape of the EL into the soles (adding about 1mm around the existing edges) so the EL panel could move a bit inside, and the wires should be loose too but attached inside at one spot.

I've killed a bunch of panels testing stuff, and I swear this helps a ton. Its an easy thing to do too when your replacing a panel!

On a side note if anyone has some spare parts...I'll trade 2 pairs of my new EL panels for 2 original LED boards with plastic bubbles. If you have some spares, let me know and I am sure we can work something out.

So does the whole panel light up? Or do you add a black out piece in the middle? Also, could a clear template be laid over the top? Think the way we backlight the NIKE on the strap. The clear parts are the exact shape needed with the EL just slightly larger.

Just the domes light up. Not sure what you mean about a clear template though. Do you mean can they be laminated over? They can have a logo put on the same way, if that's what you mean.

Thanks man, also have inverter boards in the works. I am not sure if there will be much interest for the boards as the price will probably be around $40 each. 2 main issues they will fix, the brightness and the battery draw when the shoes aren't actually turned on. It also seems like they will be able to make the LED bubble blink when charging through the main board, which is something I really want to make sure they connected to the charger correctly.

By the way been wanting to see some mold updates man! Was very curious about the way you were doing yours!

If they were my order, I'd want to see pics of both shoes lights on (I'm assuming they sent more QC pics than just this, as they did with both my pairs) and if so, I'd give them the thumbs up. Hope you remembered the discount code!

Will these boards be using electronic inverters or the old transformer style? What frequency have you chosen to run the inverters at?

To have a red LED either flash or just light up for the charge and a green LED when they are done would rock. Especially the green for go wear your MAGs.
I have all the materials for my molds, just school holidays right now, so can't really do anything until they go back to school.

For some reason, I lost some details under the smaller inner wings and a bit of the pyramid tread on one shoe, so I need to redo that mold.

What I have done was to degas my silicone and let it fill all the cavities and in doing so, it ran into the slots that run right around the rubber parts. This created a small wall that I was able to slush cast into. In the end, the cast that came out the best seems to be a bit over 3mm thick (say 1/8") which I'd suggest is perfect for these. So long as I can get a smooth clean back side, i can then use those first pulls to make proper molds. I'm cheating a bit, but I just don't want to pull these shoes apart before I have to.

My QCs didn't show lights on for both shoes. Yet both worked initially :)
 
The spray I have u see used on my wear pair in not Crep, but similar product. I have given the shoes two coats now. It dries clear and did not stain or change the fabric. I have not water tested them yet but given the cost, am extremely mindful of my surrounding whilst they are on my feet.

I just bought crep. My niece works at a footlocker and says it's widely used on fabric and leather shoes.
