Mine ended up being $627 paid with CC in the US.

Also I am like %99 sure that these shoes run on a standard 600mah 3.7v lipo battery from what Rebecca said. No way they would use any kind of step-up converter, they are terribly inefficient with something like this. If they are using a 600mah 3.7v lipo...well that would confirm why they are dim too.

Has anyone messed with opening the sole yet? I wonder the best way to do it? How would you go about doing it Jedifyfe? Trying to think of the neatest way to do it without just cutting it apart...when you remove the insole, I wonder if cutting the stitches along the edges would be the neatest way to go?

Did you have any problems with customs question in what was in the package? I had a pair of V2 's seized by Irish customs last year and destroyed. That is the only thing stopping me ordering the V3's. €200 was a hard pill to swallow last year. €600 for these would be heart breaking!
 
I think id consider removing that battery if I were going to wear these on a regular basis, unless removal was equally as dangerous. but im pretty shy and these get so much attention that I likely wont wear them outside of home. should get my pair next week.
 
From the images, all connections are plugs now. The challenge of getting to the battery is that these are not same construction as the V2 with the pink carboard, so you can't just hack out the innersole of these to get to the battery.

Apperently there is a pretty big clamp down on counterfeit goods entering the country. Very sad day. To be fair to the seller on aliexpress I did get a full refund as their terms of sale covered non delivery if customs seized the goods.
