I wear Size 8 for my normal shoes and ordered a size 8 V3. Lets hope they fit true to size and not 1/2 size bigger like the V2s.

Terrible photography on those quality control pictures. All at weird angles, the shoes partially out of frame, and the one showing the backs -- I don't need to see so much of the surroundings, how 'bout getting the camera closer to the shoes!! QC pics should be just a straight-on of each side. But then people might actually notice a flaw or two, and they don't want that. It's the same case with QC pics of replica watches. All at angles, none straight-on, so you can't tell if things are centered and such.
But anyway, it seems a new, really accurate version is ***F i N a L L y*** real!! I'm excited, but of course will wait however many months it takes for the dust to settle in order to safely buy a pair, just like it took with the V2's. In a way it's kind of a shame after putting so much work into 2 pairs of V2s (going the whole nine yards with toe-slim, and doing all the lighting) to just replace them with V3's, but at the same time part of me feels like that after having gone through all that, I've "earned" the ability to really appreciate these new accurate replicas. That said, it still would have been nice if they could have just done them right 3 freakin' years ago!!
My biggest question/concern is the lighting. It looks like they really knocked it out of the park with the lighting, it looks awesome. But I wonder how long a charge lasts? 2 hours? 4 hours? more? Also, what happens when the battery eventually dies? Is it replaceable? How's the quality of the wiring? Is it as good as the shoes look, or crappy like the stock V2 wiring? Somewhere in between? Do we have to fear the lights breaking after just a few uses? Even if they partially broke, it would really suck. Because if lights break, or the battery dies for good, as beautiful as these replicas are, none of us will want to hack into them to fix stuff.

He won't have yet. A page back, there is a message stating that they are making size 11 and 12 first, them will move to other sizes. If that is the case, then 9 and 10 are next, and then 7 and 8. I really hope they make a 7 so I can have a 1:1 of the shoe seen in the film.

With the price at $600, I will only wear these like a few times just for fit and pictures. Any other time, they will be displayed.

He says they are true-to-size. I have two friends who will have them in hand by the end of next week or sooner, so I will get back to you on that to confirm the sizing.

They do take Paypal for other shoes, but for a high-value product like this I think he was afraid to offer PayPal because unrightful chargebacks would be devastating for him. An unrightful chargeback would be a situation where the buyer receives the shoes, they're fine, but the buyer files a dispute with Paypal claiming he didn't receive the shoes or he didn't know they were counterfeits, and the buyer gets his money back and keeps the perfectly fine shoes.
/r/Repsneakers is mostly populated by younger people who have a high tendency to do things like that. They don't do it often enough for him to do away with Paypal entirely, but I think he determined it was too much of a risk for limited production, high-value product like this.
I sent a message to him asking if he could make an exception for RPF forum users. I don't think that will be as much of a concern for this group and Paypal would make things much more convenient. Will update you on that later.
I would take the stock estimates from the live chat grunts with a grain of salt. 11 and 12 are the only sizes that are currently being shipped and I don't know how many he has on hand. He said that the production amount is supposed to be 1200 pairs.

David doesn't usually lie or embellish the truth too much to me, but that sounds too good to be true. We'll see what the customer reviews reveal. I'd be ecstatic if they lasted even half that.

PayPal would be great if that happens, and shouldn't be risk for anyone involved chargeback wise, if the photos match the product and tracking is provided proving delivery and the communication exchange ... No one would be able to do a chargeback. There's absolutely no risk.

I would expect that the V3 will be a much larger production run. There's no way the Chinese factories aren't going to try and make a killing cranking these out once they are set up to produce them. It happens with everything over here.

Well the overarching factor is that it's an illegal counterfeit. It wouldn't be hard to convince Paypal that you were misled into buying a counterfeit product and that you need a refund. I've seen scammers get away with refunds for products they claimed did not arrive. Sometimes even with signature confirmation. Paypal has and always will bend over backwards for the buyer and many people abuse it. Most replica sellers don't offer Paypal as a payment option for that reason.
Anyway, he's offering it for RPF members now. So hooray for that!
Yeah I'm sure they will produce many more. Especially when Nike does the auction for 2016 RDs, which will bring more mainstream attention to these reps. I think the 1200 figure is just for the first batch. If it proves to be a hot product, they will prepare for another production and usually they'll take the time to fix any errors with the first production. In this case, it could be the puffy collars, midsole tint, shape adjustments etc.

That's understandable. The most expensive sneakers I ever bought were the 20th anniversary Reebok Pumps at $300. I wear them from time to time, but not a lot. For us Aussies, the V3 is more than double that. Of course, given my collection, I would have spent a lot more than $600 on sneakers over the years......

I guess this shot kind of puts to bed any idea that these are just a pair of modded RDs.....you can clearly see the sole from another shoe, as well the bottom of the heel cup of another.
Interesting as well, what looks like a flat lithium ion kind of battery. Could mean pretty good lights on time...

I think that is a good shot. It is not in anyway staged or studio, so you know it more real than a glamour shot.

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet but one thing I noticed on this picture is that the led lights are in the wrong order on this shoe. It's red, yellow, green but it should be green, yellow, red. The other shoe from these pictures has it in the right order so I'm assuming it was just a mistake with that one shoe.

Yeah I agree, these are the first pictures that made me think this is actually happening!
It's weird that we haven't heard anything about the box. I guess we will get like a generic box or something.
