Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

If you see the switch just one pole is switched !

It's not important to know if it's the positive or the negative, because i don't use the inside battery, but just the cr 2032 for my strap !

You can use + or - it's not important because you use the switch as ........ a switch nothing else ! :love

nicely done! i love it when people do there own thing on these, good job dude!

Can i ask, you stated the light works off one switch which is the one on the shoe itself, can you tell me what positive cable is the battery and what positive cable is for the leds in the soles and heels?

I want to solder on one of the positives but i'm scared i connect the wrong one (the battery positive) and something goes wrong.

If you have a photo of the switch with your soldered positive cable that would be great! and thanks for sharing your photo's :)

Cavx, you are using a EL panel!!!.he is using only a leds system basically, I think that is not very useful for you because your way of work is with EL and LEDS.
Your battery feeds to EL inverter and red/yellow/green leds with PROPER RESSISTORS depending your way of soldering/kind or voltage/LED model.

Quick guide for the people who wants a only one battery installed in "Cloneprops Ankle v2" to feed entire new MAGS v2´s(LEDS and EL´s) and charge/use in only ONE battery:

The usb plug connectors (that carry on new MAGS v2´s):

-USB works with 5V?:true, in mostly computers.
-New Mags v2 have 5v?: probably NOT.the volt tester would say the final voltage¡¡
-Why USB connector on v2's???:
probably use that plug connector because is too easy/cheap(in mostly chinese products you can find easily¡¡) and they have high stocks of that kind of plugs...but doesnt mean that the volts of original of v2's finally works with 5v¡¡¡¡¡.

what can i do to reconfigure my mags v2?

1-You need to find the battery on mags v2 and examine the voltage impressed over the surface, if is not possible(because battery is inside sole, for example) you need to use a volt tester to know exactly the voltage of electronics of entire shoe.
2- if the voltage is higher or lower than 3V you ned to readjust with additional ressistors to your 3V battery.

3- the diagram installation is:

two wires(+ -) from batteries to plug charger.
two wires(+ -) from batteries to EL inverter.(and ovbiously two wires from inverter to EL)
two wires (+ -)from batteries to RESSISTORS* that go directly to the LEDS.

the switch on/off needs to be between EL/LED wires(for example in both cables + )

*the ressistors depends of the original v2 voltage: if is higher than 3V you need to calculate a correct ressistor and add it to compensate the final voltage.

Im working on a wire diagram graphic for ankles v2, to put in my thread. :)

Thank You so much Cloneprops!!! this helps!! :)

Theoricaly, yes, but we have two problems in this shoes to access to battery power !

First, yes, the battery, is on the sole !

Second, on the usb connector no power is present (possibly a diode ?)

In the two cases it's impossible to use the power from the shoes, directly !

I have tried, and it's because it's not (easily) doable, i choose to use an cr 2032 battery :)

You cant use usb for testing volts,SURELY have a diode(like mostly gadgets in charger port). I think that would be better to locate parts to read volts(volts tester) like leds of the heel( inside of the shoe) but is difficult to say , I dont have V2,s and I cant help on that way.

We have don't access to the leds, or something else except the on/off switch and the usb connector !

All parts are included on the shoes !

Except if i want to try to destroy the shoes, the "easy" solution (not the most elegant) is to use another battery !:cry

On/off switch only have one polarity.
Usb: if have a diode ,you cant know the exact voltage.
The solution is no destroy shoes, only dissamble probably in the inner textile part near leds (unstitch inner heel textile part) can you put more photos???

No, all I know is that shoesbagonsale raised the price of the V2`s from $199 to $239 which cannot be good for a reasonable price for the V3`s...

Do you guys really think there will be a V3? I don't think we will see a V3 MAG any time soon, if ever. Best guess is that they will re-work what they have to make it better.

I don't think there will be a v3 yet, more a revision of how the v2's are put together, to save money. If sales are good I think we will the see V3 like 6-12 months down the line, that's my personally opinion.

Hiphopiop stated most of the flaws in a YouTube video so I bet they get fixed, I hope they smooth out the toe, add multi coloured led bulbs in the cups instead of clear with the diode projecting the colour, el in sole and strap and remove the stitching in the finger holes as as far as I can see that could be removed and hot pressed/glued instead, I'm hoping for a lot I think :D

So I'm with you on that as well Cavx.

sigh, this sort of thing is making me lose my enthusiasm for these at all. id only pay that sort of $ for movie accurate mags, not these knockoffs.

id also not expect to see anything resembling a v3 until its almost 2015, as the hype will prolly peak around that date.

Well my good news is, I got my refund today :) Now I can use that towards payment of cloneprops kit for my own movie accurate MAGs.
