NickCline's Star Wars Prop Collection - ORIGINAL POST UPDATE: “New” Balance Pipe, Vader V2, HDPE, & Tantive IV E-11!!

The end of that scope is weird though, the body of the scope looks accurate, just the end is different, another close variation I guess.

Looks close enough to me.

yeah yeah, no don't misunderstand me, it's super close. It's just both ends of the scope, the one at the front as a line that we don't normally see on the "validated" scopes and the one at the back is missing this same kind of line. If I'm making any sense.

Don't freak out, this is the best looking EE3 I have ever seen and those photos went directly in my reference folder as all your photos usually end up going for references if ever I'm lucky enough to reproduce that prop too one day. For now I only have the damn scope I'm talking about ;)

I posted this recently in The Prop Source Facebook group, but forgot to share here.

Here's a pair of cool scopes I picked up fairly recently. First being a Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialyt 3X. I included my live fire Ziel Dialyt 3X scope that I’ve owned for a while in the photos for comparison.

I’ve owned four Hensoldt Wetzlar scopes now, and each have been different, but all equally beautiful in their own way. Easily my favorite scope of all the ones used in the original trilogy.

I also stumbled across a fairly accurate Compac Super. Not sure if I’ll ever do anything with it, but for the price, it was worth picking up.

OP UPDATED

Finally had some time to take a few quick, unedited glams of my ANH static lightsaber prop, beautifully assembled by scottjua.

Built using a genuine Folmer Graflex, this flash was found in this exact configuration. Neither the glass eye or the red button were swapped. It is all original. Also sports a genuine Exactra 19 bubble strip, vintage d-ring, and a set of t-track from Todd’s Costumes.

looking amazing (y)
is it a lot of holes we see under the grips? any idea what this was?
how do you attach the D ring is you don't mind me asking?

Watchu talking bout willis? Holes?

As for the D ring, I stuck a big fat powerful magnet inside the tube, so it sucks the D ring on and you can pretty much just place it where you'd like without damaging the flash whatsoever.

thanks for your reply Scott, for the holes I'm talking about picture 5, it seems under the grips in the shadow, you can see really defined black circles, looking like holes and I'm wondering it there are actually holes there or if it's just an effect of the photo.
thanks (y)

...but are there enough rivets on that clip? ;)

If you’re comparing it to the newly discovered stunt, no. That’s why we opted not to drill anything. And it’s actually a faux Robertson screw. ^_^

Nope. Just the camera playing tricks. Could be a weird shadow casting off some of the glue residue.

thanks for your answer (y) that's surprising but yeah, cameras play weird tricks sometimes. thanks and great collection again :)

Good call on having the d-ring assembly be removable, in case new information comes to light. Especially on a vintage!

Yeah, it’s definitely the way to go in my opinion. Scott did my ESB Graflex the same way, even though the reference shots are much better. Never know what kind of new info could come to light down the road!

Fantastic. They did such a great job on this one. I'm so bummed I missed out on the first wave. Hoping I can snag one on the next release.
I love seeing your collection. And such excellent photography!
