For me, I think i'm finally starting to evolve past caring about new TMNT projects ever since this move to corporate biz.
I never really got into this new series.
The animation was great. the voices where great. the music was great. some character re inventions where awesome. The rest of it?
It was just weird.. even for a tmnt series.
All the women on the show where romances for the turtles. and nothing more. Making April and Casey Teens was beyond pointless, and d one only cause older ceo's think that kids don't like watching adults on TV. Shredder andhis henchman where almost an after thought. only coming in when they thought the Kraang plotline needed a break.
Weakest Baxter Stockman ever. the Mutanimal supporting characters where pointless.
Horror Episode After Horror episode...Weird Looking monster mutant after weird looking monster mutant (A Shredder mutant with an oruko saki body as a tongue? what are you on?) Characters that make one or two appearances and set up to be main characters, but soon forgotten. (Krang Prime, Leatherhead). Plot lines that get brought up as a big threat, and soon forgotten. Plot lines that are supposed to be a threat, but have no setup, and then forgotten. Plotlines that come up out of nowhere, to setup a threat.
some of the weirdest filler episodes ever....and.. lets not forget the super long breaks, which made it impossible to keep up what was happening in this show.
For me, this show just wasn't fun. and that was before i got told off by the producer of the series for even daring to venture a negative opinion ;o).
What would you like to see in the next tmnt series? if the past holds any indication, probably coming 5 years or so after this one ends...
I think they need to outsource it to netflix. no content restraints.
They need to remember the turtles are ninja's while not forgetting the fun of the series.
they need to have a co hesive vision. and make sure playmates has ZERO decision making power in anything but toys.
The only teens need to be the turtles. and no weird human/mutant romance please.
