Newbie Question: Terminator CPU Chip

[attachmentid=11250][attachmentid=11250][attachmentid=11250]I remember seeing a while back a CPU chip replica that was in the actual casing seen in the Cyberdyne lab scenes in T2.

The casing consisted of a silver display stand with a horizontal glass tube holding the chip.

I used to see them on eBay and now I'm looking for one and can't find it.

Perhaps one of the collectors here will have some leads?

:( You and I are way too late to aquire this piece of craftmanship. There were only 20 pieces made by Cinema Replicas and all are already in collectors hand.
The next best thing you can get is this one from eBay a while ago:

AFAIK, that's a RPF members work.

YenChih - Thats still a nice piece of work there. An EXTREMELY clean casting too.

However, I havent been able to find that type on eBay and I've been looking for a while. All I can find is the (pretty poor looking) replica "keychain"??. :unsure

I have no idea where they got the notion to start selling plastic keychains. :lol

Here are some of the chips I have

I've had them for quite some time. I have an all metal one thats the same as the whole undamaged one.

Eyes Only...

Those are pretty accurate.

Any chance of you letting the cat out of the bag as to where you got them?

BTW: it's metal, heavy and neaaat looking. No resin here.

Exactly, this plastic look was the reason not to bid on the keychain :thumbsdown . What interest me more would be the intact CPU version :thumbsup - AFAIK, there were protos from Timeless Replicas.

There's no cat to let out of the bag. This was done years ago by a board member (who I don't think is here anymore) and he sold both the damaged and undamaged one. I've got both the metal one and the resin ones.

I was sure I had a few spares around of the resin non-damaged one. All that stuff is still in boxes from the move back in January.

I think the metal ones were pewter? Not sure until I look at it again.

I've seen a few different versions of the damaged one over the years and it seems that most of them always look like someone took a bite out of the end. :lol

Nice chips by the way. :thumbsup

WHAT?.

There were METAL versions made?.?.

Oh - this is killing me. I NEED THIS. lol [/b]

Only over my dead endoskeleton :D

Yeah, it's made of pewter.

Nice chips by the way. [/b]

to quote Homer Simpson:"Hmmm...chips...*drool* chomp."

Eyes Only,

If you have any spares...you mind floating me a PM?

Maybe I can MacGuyver a nice display for it.

But I'd still need a full, undamaged one as well...

Thanks for the help guys.

I believe I'm going to pick up one of the resin "model kits" off of eBay from a seller named coolmodels.
[/b]

Here are the threads that "coolmodels" has come up in on the RPF. You might want to check them out before buying from him. (If the link doesn't work then just use the search function dirrectly).

Just an FYI, nothing more.

Scratch that.... I'm not about to buy into a recaster.

I may be in the process of building my humble collection but I won't stoop to that level for any reason...

Thanks for the heads up SG - Much Appreciated.

Guess I'm still looking for those CPU chips then. HAHA

Yes.. Our version was made in metal...

There have been a couple metal chips made.

The name escapes me of the company that offered the licensed chips and endo finger...crap, I had a ton of that stuff at one point.

No problem, I chose not to buy from him for the same reason.

I bought one of the keychains on ebay, and made the rest of what you see in this picture myself. In my opinion the keychain doesn't look bad at all if you dress it up right. :)
