I went Friday, Saturday and Sunday dressed in my Khan Noonien Singh costume and had a great time! As I mentioned in another thread, I won the Friday cosplay contest, but I had a ton of fun collecting screams of "Khaaaaaan!" from people all around the convention.

Way to go! I would have loved to scream in your video if I could have been there. Khan on!

Question. It was my first trip to NYCC this year. I went on Sunday and for the first couple of hours it was fine, then around 2 it was insane!!!! Far too many people and a ton of kids (I know Sunday is kids day). How is Thursday and Friday in regards to crowds? I'm thinking Friday & Saturday for 2014.

shyaporn ! i didnt know your were and rpf guy ! damn wish i would have known . great costume . my friend who is a mega fan of star trek took a pic with you guys . you all looked great ! http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx91/deedeeklein/20131013_120744_zps592309db.jpg

I've fallen down the rabbit hole of RPF many a time the past couple of years - I love it. I get to live vicariously through people who have fare more skill and patience to complete projects than I possess! I was wondering if there was any way for RPFers to identify one another at the conventions - I was sure I must have been walking past dozens.

Would have loved to have you! My basic rule was I only grabbed people who screamed Khan at me of their own accord - worked out well :)

I'm killing some time now that everything under the tree is opened, Thought I would give some perspective to NYCC compared to SDCC. This was my 1st year and went 3 of the 4 days. If that was NYCC idea of crowds no problem I'll take it. This isn't a which is better con post just I had a much more enjoyable time at NYCC because it felt like it was still about the comics. I was able to have so many books signed and pick up so many more with no issues. The line for Stan was crazy but at least no fights / shoving matches broke out like SDCC. I was able to get into almost any panel without the need for a tent, or a backpack of food. I highly recommend NYCC to anyone.

Yes kids day was a slightly crazy but it was because of the kids... My son had a blast! There is nothing better for a Father then your son telling you he can't wait till next year.

NYCC 2013 was my first international con. Went as Silent Bob the day Kevin Smith had the Comic Book Men Panel, though didn't get to meet him.
