iunno.. something looks wrong about it. I can't call it.. just something looks off. As a Predator it looks cool.. but as "Wolf".. I'm just not feeling it. Maybe it's the child bearing hips and thighs. Still a cool kit. Maybe it's the paint from the promo pic.. maybe when someone gets it and paints it more accurate to the movie it'll look better. That last pic looks cool.. with all the preds there!

WHY?!?! Always from Thailand (not that I have anything against Thailand). I rarely see good kits on the bay from N. America.

It's not a "new" sculpt actually.

It's a recast of Narin's "Axertor" Pred kit that has some resculpted bits.
And, again, it's a recast.

Here's the original Narin piece.

Your pretty sparky there spotting that Sabes Theres no substitute for a Narin sculpt. Especially when someone is trying to profit off of an origial pose, concept and idea'r :) The sculpt and casting is doodoo !! If we wait Narin is sure to release another "Wolf Sculpt" :D I say break out the wire and hang'em and skin em :D BLAAAAHHH

Why wait? The Wolf from predatorstuff looks sweet (particularly all painted up by Joe D.)

Well that's the problem. The one painted up by Joe is ******* awesome!

But the one you actually get, already painted up looks like this:

And I'm not feeling that.

I actually wanted to purchase that statue until I saw what you actually get. I was disappointed to say the least.

Well, first and foremost you are paying for a blank resin kit which you build and paint yourself.

However, if you prefer not to do it yourself, you can get a professional to do it for you. If you want a relatively cheap option, you can go with option 2. If you want to pay a little more, get Joe D. to do it. He posted recently where he painted up 4 commissions of Wolf Predators.

I have a Wolf Predator on order (on a slow boat to Australia) and I'm going to build and paint it myself.

You can get lots of great tips from other forum members and your kit can turn out great. If you don't like how it turns out, strip the kit and start again. I've had kits where it's taken me a number of goes to get right.

There are some members here with great skills, and then there are the rest of us who have never built or painted a kit much less have the tools and knowhow to get the job done. Personally I prefer sending the kits off to pros, there is of course Joe D. and I've also sent pieces to Joe E. Tat2pro on the forums, and also Disturbed Earth another member on these forums, they do really really good work.

What you see in pics never does the work justice, it wasn't until I got my first kit back that I realized the level of quality you can get out of a well sculpted kit, built and painted by a pro. Yea, they can get pricey and fast, but if you can take the hit, it's worth every penny.

Also keep in mind, that if the pre-painted kits looked like the promo image, then the cost would go up, because of the time and effort that would have to go into making each one look that way.

I fully understand that BENSIN.. I know promo images are just that, to PROMOTE the item in the best light possible. I think we've all eaten fast food and seen the pics of the food.. and what you actually get. lol. Let me clarify: my disappointment was with the actual color choices.. specifically the body color and the base color. I asked Joe how much one of those Wolf's would be from him all painted up.. I'm still clutching my chest from the price quote!!! hahahahaha..

Actually, the new pre-paints are much better than that... I need to post some pics of them. And that kit in the auction is a recast upper body of my kit... ******* losers LOL!

I can understand where you're coming from with the color choice point. You should always work close with and inform your chosen artist what you expect as far as fleshtone, spot pattern and the style of finish on the armor. Do you want a "screen accurate" version or something totally different? Basically the only limits are in ones imagination. Take a P1 and give it a P2 or elder paintjob for example. Yes..some pricing quotes may seem excessive at first, but once finished your buildup will virtually last a lifetime if properly handled and displayed. You've paid big bucks for that Death Warrior or Hayes P2 kits..get them done up right says i. :) hint hint. Seriously there's i nice pool of very talented artists on this board that would do any P kit proud.

LOL!

One day man...one day I'm going to get a cheeseburger that looks like the picture. ahhahaha :)

Yea and on the color choices, I thought that was weird too. I figured the Wolf was the Halloween edition lol.

Agreed, I pay that much for a kit I'm willing to pay more to get it done up right. Also you get what you pay for, I think it's all worth every penny, for me when I get a kit back, I don't recall any woes on the price because I'm blown away by the build and the paint.

Then I gawk at it for a while, then display it, and then I light up a cigar and just gawk at it some more. I mean, is that weird? I don't do that, who does that? Not me.
