Brass is fine but I'd like the option of not having the vanity cover over the switch if you can do that for us screen accuracy people? Also why then does theb real omni have a switch on each side? I just thought one for the red light and one for the green light? Your thoughts on these questions.

Maybe for power for the second switch. But I'm putting power on the lid. I'll make it an option, but it will be a dummy switch. I think you will probably be the only one ordering that option though. I could be wrong.

Yes that would be truly excellent if you can make that dummy switch option on the other side of the omni with the no vanity covers as an option as well. Thanks for that!!

Just one other question not too important though but since we are talking about electronics it just crossed my mind. Will we have an option for the lights not to blink like in The Trial of Phineas Bogg?

The electronics will be simple. Just a flashing red led and a steady green. There is no programming you can adjust. But if you want a steady red, I suppose you could replace it. But it won't be part of my offerings

Hey Rob, I had a thought while looking at a couple of screen shots. It looks like the light whether green or red corresponds with what appears to be pressure being applied to the hinge pin of the same side. It makes sense to hide a momentary plunge switch there for easy one hand operation giving the actors the ability to change the light color with very little noticeable movement. Take look at a few pics. It just looks like the thumb or finger is under pressure and strategically placed. Thanks

Hey Rob! I hope your having luck with that circuit board. How bright will the lights be?? Have you noticed on the 1st version that the red light and green light were not as bright as they are on the second version??

I have some really bright chip LEDs but I am looking at a bunch of them. Really not set on a particular one yet. I have not yet decided to use premade flashers or program my own.

OK well I hope they are the dimmer ones like to match the first omni I am looking to get. See as it is in these photos below.

A lights apparent luminosity on camera is directly related to ambient light, f-stop, diffusion and angle. I highly doubt the lights used changed at all with the exception of the strength of the batteries.

OK Rob that makes total sense I figured you'd know better than me about lights of course.

The lights only changed in the diffusion.
The plastic cover over the light if sanded to a frosted texture achieves this uniformity in light diffusion.

In this image the light is not evenly distributed and the shape of the round bulb can be seen, which represents less diffusion.

You can also see the plastic is colored red and green, which also helps with the illusion of greater light distribution and diffusion.
