New to Molds please help.

Hey guys been awhile since iv been on the site, but im trying to get into making a mold of my predator mask that i got along time ago, except im not really sure how to go about doing it, aswell as what to use or how to make the mold any tips or websites you guys could tell me about would be awsome.


I tried using the search on the forums to see if anyone has made a post about this already but it seems that my search gives me an error every time i try and use it.

Well if its your sculpt, I can let you give you some tips etc. If its someones mask youre tryin to mold, then you're on your own trip to hell with that.

Look for brickintheyard on you tube as well, they have a load of useful stuff aka BITY mold supplies.

It is harder to mold a mask than to mold a sculpt because the mask is hollow and flexible.

It is also know as recasting and frown upon because people don't like their work copied by others.

Have you tried sculpting your own pred head? It will take a little longer, but the experience in invaluable.

Try Youtube for sculpting and molding videos. they have lots.

Hey, sorry i guess i should have said before the mask was given to me buy a friend im not to sure where he got if from but it was incomplete, since iv had it iv added some clay and sculpted 1/2 the mask, now i was going to try and make a mold to make it 1 peace

If its just the experience you're looking for, then mold a lump of clay. Molding latex and clay is a bit different anyways, so there is no need to "test mold" something on someone elses work.

Pictures of the thing in question always helps.
