My heart kinda sank at this lol. After everything I invested in my current ASM suit :facepalm Hope the new suit looks just as good :thumbsup

That sucks. I was fearing this would happen for the same reason you mentioned. I hope it's suttle changes like they did with the original trilogy (with the exception of the black costume of course).

I'm assuming Electro's suit will be altered from the comics. A guy with yellow lighning bolts coming out of his mask isn't very menacing. It looks ok in print, but you know what I mean.

His suit in the Ultimate universe is pretty slick, though I'm not sure how well it would translate to the silver screen:

Probably just little things like a new belt to hold more cartridges and maybe some new lenses to protect his eyes. Just think that Peter is smart and how he would improve his suit to go up against Electro. Just like how in the Dark Knight he added some new gadgets

That's asking too much :lol Be glad they don't give him an ironman/robocop looking suit to fit in with every other movie.

I saw a post that talked about re doing it completely to the respect to the comics. Made me a little upset. I think they have a good suit here and need to keep going with originality and not fall too close to the older films.

I'm cool with some upgrages. I'm definitely happy with bigger eyes. Hopefully not too big though. The new webshooters make sense since he had his destroyed in the last one.

Other than that, I really must say the new suit grew on me. I'd be ok with them possibly losing the leg stripes or adding a belt, but overall I love the design and hope it doesn't completely revert to the comic style. I also hope it doesn't move further away from the comics. They hit a nice balance of originality and iconography with the first movie's suit. Hope that continues.

This would be the perfect size for the lenses, imo:

Maybe give em a more curvy shape too?

I definitely like the idea if bigger lenses. I'm not a fan of the small current ones. I also would like to see something closer to the comic but meh either way

I am pumped for the larger eyes.
I loved the ASM but with the Ultimate look of the suit the eyes were pretty small.

The suit did grow on me, but I'm still not a fan of the racing stripes down his legs. Gnarly shooters? Wonder what that could mean...
