OK, I've said before "new kit please, Bandai!" and got pooh-poohed. Well we can see now just how heavily they've detailed up the classic design. I think a new kit is looking like a no-brainer at this point. Fingers crossed!

Would love to see Robotech, Akira, Ghost in the shell, etc. etc. done well and fully Japanese. Then translated to english. Cause we americans appearently have to stick to the same awefull bubble gum transformer-esque style of turning toons into movies!

Just once I wish something like GIJOE transformers etc. would be made faithfully to the original material, sure... spice it up and bring it into the real world. But not full on Michael Bay'd out BS garbage.

It reminds me of Captain Harlock (Albator here) and would be happy to watch this on big screen !!!

Captain Harlock was actually originally created by the same guy (Leiji Matsumoto) who created Space Battleship Yamato (a.k.a. Star Blazers in the US). They share a lot of design features.

I've been introducing my kids to Star Blazers. This is awesome.

Kinda wish they'd included some international actors - would have been nice to see Jack Black as Dr. Sane, or pretty much anyone European as Starsha or Nova. But it looks amazing nonetheless. Wildstar looks great.

The flighter helmets look very similar to the nuBSG viper/raptor helmets. It also doesn't look like they carried over the look of the EDF ships. I'm still going to get me a copy as soon as they are available!
