Well I'm not sure I agree with all your points on the VC. But this is perhaps why we should take the information that half of it came from an original with a pinch of salt. I don't know where that information came from. Hopefully by the end of November I'll have the two in hand to compare side by side
That or we could just ask Neill if he was involved at all in the VC production.

that picture posted here appears to be el9ongated, it looks weird compared to what i have in my hands, not a good pic to compare it to.

I'm almost certainly going to get one aswell. Didn't someone say that the VC was 10% smaller that the original?

I believe the diameter of the head tubes was estimated to be 10% smaller and you can see that in the pics. Not sure about the rest of the helmet though.

Here's a little thing from the MFX Replicas forum that folks might be interested in, quote from Neill Gorton:-

Interesting that someone mentioned that ours don't look weathered as they're not. There's a step in the finishing that differs. On the originals we did a final polish with a black metal grate polish called ZEEBO which gets in to all the grooves and slightly tweaks the colour so it's more steel like than aluminium.

The reason we don't put it on the heads when we finish them is because it comes off on your hands leaving them stained black. In fact the bloody stuff gets everywhere. Over the ten weeks of filming we didn't bother polishing them again with the Zeebo as eveyone was sick of having black hands and the zeebo slowly wore off.

So rather than do that final polish with Zeebo we've chosen to simply inform buyers of it's use and leave it up to them if they want to add this layer of weathering. With or without the Zeebo the Cyberman head will be authentic.

I'd be happy for you to add that detail to the thread on the RPF as I can't get on as yet but I'm looking forward to getting on ther as it looks like a good forum.[/b]

If you are in the UK almost any toy shop (try Toys R Us), in the US try Who North America. In the UK the CVC is around thirty pounds, in the US its $79USD but they only have nine left so I wouldn't hang around.
