Nothing like an upcoming con for you to finish props:

Matt's kit based off a .38 blank firer (which still works) :love

That looks great. I just started watching the series and I can't believe I haven't started sooner. I've been wondering if anyone had built one before and now I know. I thought it looked a little similar to the Bladerunner blaster. What is the kit made out of? Great work.

Looking good.

Did you come up with a method to make the halves removable to reload the revolver. I have several ideas but never followed up on them.

Once I finish up all my back orders I think I might just re-visit this project.
It's just too classy to let die. ;)

This is how I did the reloading mod:

[attachmentid=8581]

The top piece is screwed into the donor gun through the hole Matt molded in.
Razorsaw cut the shroud along the first of the 'grip' lines at the top rear and also at the front halfway through the width. The front cut I drilled both sides and glued a locating pin in one half.
The removable side is held in place with one screw.
The grenade launcher/trigger shroud is screwed together from the inside and held in place on the gun via one screw up into the barrel.

So to reload, it's just two screws.
