New pulse rifle build, need help from real experts!

Hi!

I have slowly accumulated a large inventory of parts and would like to finally begin assembling another pulse rifle replica. I have a Snow Wolf, a Monsters in Motion all resin kit with all moving parts and an HCG replica in Brown Bess, but I would like an ultimate light and sound, working airsoft replica, if possible.

To that end, I have a Tokyo Marui Thompson, a Tanaka 870 shotgun with the gas in the shells and several grenade replicas with gas capability so they can be fired (airsoft!) from the Tanaka, I have a real Spas 12 hand grip and slide action sleeve, I have Phil Steinschneider's front block, barrel vent, and stock, two G&P kits and Matt Noble's aluminum impregnated resin shrouds and mag base.

The problem seems to be that there is no place for a battery to run the Thompson airsoft except in the grenade launcher and no place for the airsoft rounds if you put the battery in the magazine. I am perfectly willing to have an external battery that plugs into the gun and runs it. This would let me have airsoft Thompson and airsoft grenade launcher with a cycling grenade launcher that actually ejects shells. Hopefully, there will be a place for my hyperdyne counter/light/sound board, though, admittedly, I don't see how the light functions would work given that you can't put led's in the barrels and still have the airsoft rounds get out. There is also Majenko's tiny new counter / sound board to consider.

Is this an impossible dream? I would love to hear what you guys think of the practicality of all of this. Should I just have a giant junkyard sale (!!!!) and settle for adding light and sound to the HCG, say?

Thanks, so much, for your thoughts,

Steve

Regards to the HCG shrouds they need to be machined to fit an airsoft Thompson which i believe Matsuo does for a fee. I have pretty much the same set up as yourself with the G&P shrouds fitted which there is room for a very small battery. I use 7.4 volt 350mah lipo which measure about 5cm by 1cm by 1cm. so that will fit in the space for the counter battery. I built a compartment in the shroud above the barrel with a sheet metal cover held in place by magnets.

So yes it is an impossible dream sell all the bits to me ;-)

It would be possible , but major modifications would need to be done from machining the inside of shrouds , and getting all your airsoft weapons would have to tapped and screwed...so many things...you get the idea, but impossible, no ..not really , anything you choose to do ,will work, my question is , if you have most of the metal parts, why not just finish getting the rest and build a hero version , since you are 3/4 there anyway.....you have alot of fantastic leadway ..to completely go for the ultimate goal....

Here's my handy work

Thanks, all! With regard to the term "hero build," does that mean all metal (except shrouds and grip, of course) and working bolt and cocking, ejecting grenade launcher? That would be great, but then I have to track down real Thompson parts and real Remington parts and I lose the airsoft functions, which I would like to keep.

about 600 rounds per battery including running the counter but considering they are less than $5.00 each not a big deal. my only problem now is figuring out how to count the shots now as there is no room for the light gate. was thinking of some mechanical switch to count piston strokes.

As previously stated, look at some lipo batteries.

Especially the ones that fit in fake Eotechs.

I have a laser battery in the front of my shroud, with no issues.

You can have one in the shroud, but maybe you'll need to open a plate

to get to the cable for recharging. 2 S-U rifles have plates above the

barrel.

Here's an old pict of my rifle with the front shroud plate.

Could be a good access point for lipo battery cable.
