Very nice, clean casting. Good job, Art. Does the bio come with the eye mesh?
Your customer has captured a close facsmile of Winston's original, including the weathering, which is a patina of light green used to simulate the oxidation of copper.

What never made sense to me is why Winston and co. weathered it that way, when clearly predator armor is not copper, or any other kind of metal found on this planet----the green tends to create too high a contrast, rather than compliment the surrounding material like on the P1. But, that's the way Winston did it, so.....

Not trying to hijack this thread, just an observation.

Very nice job on that Art. It reminds me a lot of a patina I've only ever seen done on actual copper (not the general oxidisation patina though). I'm seriously impressed that you've been able to impart that same kind of luster to a painted finish.

I've never seen an actual movie bio with the copper oxidisation though, to take a minor issue with Carls point. I know some people like the look though.

Very awesome work, Art!!! You've totally come a long way, and you're skills are improving all the time. Very cool pictures too I might add. I like the different focuses and angles.

Nope- They were base coated gold. I think whatever weathering techniques they used might give the illusion of copper, though. I have a strong feeling that they were plated and not painted.

Don't really care if the Bio is screen accurate or not as the paintjob is remarkable and to me looks natural. Alien looks pretty damned good too.

I'd love to see a tutorial on that one, I'm wanting to paint up mine about the same style

It does make the overal look more interesting and believable. I love the green oxidation, it's just that more interesting than regular blacks and greys... And it was Sandy C. who did a P2 with this patina rather than SW I believe...

Very nice work, and an excellent realistic looking patina. The green oxidation is particulary nice.

Now you have.
Here's that same bio in better light:

Of course, the stunts were painted differently, and given a much darker look.

Sorry Art, hope you don't mind going off on a slight tangent. Doesn't detract from the superb finish you put on yours.
