New NECA Freddy Vs Jason Mask at TRU

Just picked this up.It only says Jason Mask Replica but it scans as a Freddy Vs Jason Mask.I compare it to the Remake NECA and I see it is indeed the VS mask. Cast in resin like the remake, but all scratched up and the backside has a fiberglass hair pattern as if it was cast off a screen used like the remake. This is most likely the one that was used in the Mask/Glove shadowbox....$19.99 at Toys R Us.

I was very impressed with the first one. I'm glad they re-issued them.

I didn't know they released this one before, other than the shadowbox version. I remember the Jason X and the remake being sold seperately. I must have missed the Vs the first time around.

I don't think the VS has ever been sold seperately.

The last NECA version was the remake mask, it was quite a nice piece 'specially with a paint touch-up.

I don't know which mold they have used for this new issue, maybe the same one?

Either way it looks great for 19.99 - I'm sure it won't be in TRU here in the UK or I would go out tomorrow and buy one!

It says # 634482397688 but I don't get any results from the TRU site.

The store I was at had 4 in stock. I could mail some if anyone wants. The only problem is that on the 3 left the paint on the nose stuck to the packaging and it pulled off leaving the nose white. I think they packed them before the paint was fully cured. If you buy online, beware yours may be like this.

I went to TRU and could not find it. I could not even find a space where it would have been sold - no sale sticker or anything. I was too pissed off to even ask a sales clerk. Story of my life.
I'm wondering if these are being sold at all TRU stores or just some. Also, is this being offered direct from NECA??

Let me know what you come up with. If you have the chance, ask a sales manager if they are familiar with the product. There were too many teeny boppers working at my local TRU and I had assumed they would have not known what I was talking about so I didnt even bother asking. Nothing listed on the website - not a good sign. I was really looking forward to just walking in there and picking up a really great inexpensive prop replica....my life is full of dissapointments!

So true.I thought this when the remake hocks came out at Toys R Us...the funniest thing about that one was the box read "NOT A TOY" right on the front!

This new one just says "AGES 17+"

FYI those that get one.The straps are in the wrong place.For some reason they added lower holes for the strap in the wrong spot.The correct holes are there.This is cast from a screen used mask....just have to put on the right straps and fill the extra holes.

Stopped by my TRU and picked on up. Not sure I really wanted it but for the price it seems really great, thinking of hanging it on my garage wall.

Also, a product number would help that way when I go to my local TRU and get dissapointed (again) that it's not there, I can have a chat with a sales manager and see what the deal is...

So that's back with all the 'boy' toys. What products were displayed around it? At my TRU, the only logical place it would have been would be where the Wolfman products were, alongside the BTTF Delorean toy replica, the Ghostbusters Slimer bank...etc...
I did not even see a price label displayed where the mask would have been if it were in stock. Like I said - story of my life. Even as a little kid, 99.8% of the time when I went to a store looking for a particular toy, it was nowhere to be found:cry

Does anyone know whay day(s) TRU typically restocks merchandise or recieves new merch? Looks like another 'toy hunt' for me....so frustrating!
