New Modify P1 Blade

Hey guys well Ive been doing a project that Ive been wanting to do for months now and finally getting to modifying the P1 blade as the one I use for the P1 gauntlets are very thick and I wanted to slam them down a bit its almost done but what I wanted to know is the back of the blade is about 7 in long and was thinking of cutting 2 in off if it should I keep it 7 in long or should I make it 5 in long in the back let me know what you guys think.

Keep them long. That way, there's more room for them to extend and retract from a gauntlet. (Particularly an animatronic gauntlet.) If anyone wants them shorter, they can just cut off the excess at the end.

How thick are they, anyway?
