this is the very first time I have ever joined a forum but I figured I needed to so I could hopefully gain some valuable resources on buying props or kits and helpful tips and maybe meeting some new friends.My passion is the Star Trek universe in particular ENTERPRISE. I am 50 years old and I have watched and enjoyed all the different shows from Kirk to Picard,Janeway and so on but Enterprise really got me good and I'd love to get my hands on some prop replicas scanner,padd,phase pistol and anything I can get my hands on Well thats all for now I'll write more later thanks for reading Kenny G.

Welcome Kenny! Enterprise certainly has its own flavor. Like a cross between Stargate in the starship era meets the last ship. I love the weapon props. I'm sure theres some builds around here.

Hey all, I'm new to joining but hear about these boards all the time. I'm a tinkerer, prop builder (kind of), and generally consider myself a nerd. Just wanted to connect with some other people who have the same interests. I'm all over the place with what I like, 80's-current horror, comics, scifi, action, zombies, Star Wars... I like a lot of different things and my home office looks more like a disheveled pop culture display than a place where I can work.

I recently completed a Necronomicon inspired by Evil Dead 2, but not 100% accurate. It was stressful completing a sculpt, mold, and casting for the cover, as well as binding my first book, but I'm happy with how it turned out. Attached are some of the things I have made over the last few years. Most of these are first attempts at different mediums, and not always great, but they are things I am proud of.

Thank you! That was originally a Lament Configuration puzzle box from Hellraiser that had been modeled for 3D printing as a jewelry box. I didn’t want to put anything inside of it, so I sanded down and filled the gaps between the lid and the box. I think it was my first prop, and a lot more rough than I would have liked, but it will stay on my shelf even if I eventually make a better one.

It looked better in silver paint but that’s not how it is in the movies, so I painted it a goldfish-bronze and weathered it, but the black paint I used to weather it just stuck to the gold better than I expected.

I'm a professional costumer who specialises in historic costume, but I love to indulge myself occasionally with personal cosplay projects. I'm in several fandoms and since I'm most adept at clothing I love making replica costumes as close as I can get to the originals. I've got a growing interest in wigmaking and propmaking as well so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's incredible builds and absorbing as much knowledge and wisdom from you all as possible!

My favourite costume that I've made so far is Rachael's suit from Blade Runner, and my current project is a custom Arthur Fleck/ Joker suit and vest.

Hi all. Red Deer, Alberta Canada is my corner of the galaxy. New to props and such, but I do Viking age reenactment, so crafting is familiar. Just had bicep tendon surgery, so I'm gonna ado some research and prep for a lighter reentry to my hobby versus hammers and fire. Lol. Glad to be here.

Hi all.
I've been browsing here off and on for years whenever I get the urge to drop down the rabbit hole of researching some obscure prop from one movie or another. Finally decided to create an account so I can post whenever I get an interesting build going.
I've been a professional Set Designer and carpenter for many many years (mostly theatre, some TV and film) as well as working in television as a remote truck EIC and Video Engineer (shader)
Just for introductory grins, here are a couple of pictures of a replica TV camera I built for an area high school production of "Hairspray" last year.
(It's been used in two other productions since the first one, it just keeps getting passed around from place to place.)

This is a great resource site. I mostly 3D print. I love movies of all types but especially movies from the 80s 90s.

I collect pinball machines. Like Silversides I also do Viking reenactment. My biceps are fine tho....

I would have totally loved using the cube as a trinket box, looks great, even though you think it's rough.
I get why you painted it the goldish-bronze and weathered it, so it's a replica... but I am a silver girl. I think it would be stunning in SIlver with a weathered look (personally that would be my fav.)

Welcome! It’s not a real pinball machine, but me and a friend created a digital cab that used to sit in my prop room/office.





But then we moved and it got destroyed in transit so I used the insurance money to have one made.
