Hi, I am from Iowa. Long time sci-fi buff. Most of my props up to this point have been purchased (Master Replicas etc.) I would like to tackle building a Sandman DS Gun as my first self made prop since I was a kid making phasers and batarangs out of wood, and then later model kits.

Hello everyone,
My name is Grimmreaper and I have known about the replica prop forum for quite a while now but never made an account until now. I am currently 20 years old and studying Product Design Innovation/ Industrial Design in College. My love for making things came from my young years of creating props from films and video games with the bare minimum of materials such as cardboard and masking tape, been making props for at least 10+ years, mainly into mask building. My inspirations come from other makers such as Adam Savage and Erik Beck from BFX. I am currently working on a hellboy cosplay build and will be posting updates with the costume. Glad to be apart of this community =).

Howdy not a new member really but I stopped dropping by after the end of the Ron Moore galactica series. Had the same handle but my profile had been nuked by then. Happy to be back ! I have been collecting props for over 25 years now. Prop collection is like a disease. Here is my madness of my Sci-Fi Den as you can see I have no theme because I pretty much like everything lol.

I am Sebastian... i am 37 years old (damn, just a few more steps to become one of those dusty old dudes *gg*) and from Germany.
I am a huge Star Wars fan, started with the Vintage Figures when i was a kid, then "paused" it for a while, don t know why, after a Period i re-new my collection with Vintage Collection stuff .. in 2015 then i started with my first 1:1 Prop (a Biker Scout - still love to wear this).. a friend who helped me during the building process poisend me with the idea to start collecting 1/6 Figures as a "Revenge" that i poisend him to tart with 1:1 too ;-)
Today i have around 50 Figures and some 1:1 Props as well as Costumes (only Star Wars from EP IV-VI) and i am proud to be a member of the 501st Legion German Garrison.
I am in the middle of redesign my Livingroom, so when everything is finished i will post some pictures for you

Hey everyone! I've had an account for years but never posted an introduction.
A little about myself: I joined the old predator costuming forum, The Hunter's Lair back in 2002 or 2003 in my early teens. I dabbled in making some predator armor stuff but never got around to doing my own suit or props.
I joined the RPF back when The Martian was close to release because in my furious googling to look at the suit designs, I came across the wonderful thread here! I posted a few things there but nothing too contributing.
I have two degrees - one in filmmaking (Direction/Production) and one in Arts and Science. I studied Astrophysics for a bit (both self taught and with a professor in college, also studied a *tiny* bit of geology) and wrote a few scientific-style papers. I replicated Stanford University's "Hedgehog" rover that I intended to make a short film with - but never got there. I got to Skype chat with one of the lead engineers of the project (who now works at JPL!) which was really cool.
I compose music for short films and indie games, and I won my first award earlier this year.
I pretended to play Airsoft for a little bit but came to the realization that I liked collecting the gear and making costumes more than I actually liked playing.
My full time job is a management position at a movie theater, and making music is my biggest hobby.
I don't often make props or costumes anymore (aside from the military stuff and the occasional Halloween costume) but I love checking the forums out and looking at everyone's amazing artistry.
