Hello All,

My names Mitch. Looking forward to being a contributing member to the forum.

G'Day from Down Under guys! Looking forward to being part of the RPF, having been a long time lurker. Main reason for joining at present is for some help with a current build (Soon to be posted thread) Nonetheless, here's to you band of misfits.:)

Suppppp
ive been pepping for a while now and usually just use various websites to find files, thought i may aswell make an account haha, happy pepping!

Well, I've been curious about prop-making for a while now, so I'd better introduce myself. I haven't made much, my first forays include two Iron Man arc reactors. Looking forward to new projects in the future, and for consulting you all

Huge Star Wars fan right here... My favorite models to build are 1/72 scale Star Wars kits. Haven't been doing it long, but I stumbled across this site and was thoroughly impressed by the talent here, so I decided to join. Looking forward to posting and building!

Hey people!
I'm Adam. Located on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Been a lurker for ages and finally decided to start posting. Mainly into costuming with a splash of various props whenever inspiration strikes. Jumped into the deep end of the pool for a convention a few years ago with a Dark Crystal Skeksi costume, and ended up here looking for tips for sculpting and casting for the polyfoam head (yeah...I was a little in over my head. But go big or go home). Have since dipped my toes into everything I can (whatever gets the job done) and have pulled off award winning costumes and wrangled a couple of loyal customers for commission work. Looking to take things up a bit this year, and despite crippling self doubt, will be posting projects I have hoping to get some feedback to improve wherever I can.

So yay for taking my first steps into a larger world.

Hi everyone

Just joined, and I'm already quite excited. I'm an Art Director, originally from Vienna, AT, living in working in Copenhagen, DK since 2000. I've always been into movies, and specifically moviemaking (I have a background as a photographer). I found the RPF through my love of Mythbusters, and by extension Adam Savages tested.com-podcast.

Unfortunately I don't have access (or space for) a shop, but with almost 20 years of experience with graphic design and illustration I'm set for paper-based props – currently cigarette packs like Red Apple or Morleys.

Anyways, just wanted to say hi, glad to have joined this awesome community.

Cheers

Hans

Hello Guys

I'm Marc originally from Scotland, but currently living/working in Belgium. Been a Star Wars fan since I was eight and have collected figures, trading cards, etc, etc on and off throughout the years.

Boba Fett has always been a favourite of mine. A couple of years ago I became interested in making a full Boba ESB costume, began doing some research discovering here and TDH along the way. Unfortunately, foolishly bypassing here to concentrate on Boba info on TDH. Anyway, I very quickly discovered the time and money involved in said project and decided just to concentrate on the helmet and blaster. I finally received my raw helmet in December and am yet to embark of painting, etc. I also purchased a resin blaster kit, which is yet to arrive, and found an MR Fett scaled blaster at the same time. This led me to discovering the MR scaled sabers and sparked a yearning for a full sized prop replica and ultimately led me back here.

Now, i've never made any props but have always been interested in them (especially after lurking around here for the last few weeks) and hope to start a project or two in the next few months. In my younger days I have worked as a draughtsman, an engineer and avionics technician so hope to rekindle some old hand skills to build some decent props for myself.

Anyway, I hope to stick around here for a good while and get to know some of you. :D

Cheers Marc

My name is kevin. I was guided here by some members of the astromech.com builders.

Future plans include a bat phone, boba fett and Snowtrooper helmet, mk1, mpp and anh graflex

Looks like you guys have a great site here and I'm excited to see all the information

Thanks for having me

I've collected props and replicas for more than 15 years but for some reason never participated much with the RPF except as a lurker. However, I used to be very active on Club Obi Wan (proud owner of an original Magnoli grail diary, MK idol, and many other interesting items).

Recently, watching some of Adam Savage's Tested videos has inspired me to try my hand at making some replicas ... which brought me back here. Looking forward to contributing!

Hi to all,
I'm Valentino from Italy, I'm interested in props, Star Wars props... :D
my goal is to have at least a full first order stormtrooper costume but if I'll have enough time I'm planning to buy/build also a clonetrooper costume and other cool stuff ;)
I discovered this site/forum searching on internet...and this place is full of talented people.
Hope I can contribute in some way ;)

Hello all,

My name is Paul

I have been a member for a few months and after browsing the forum for a while it was time to introduce myself.

I´m a big fan of the Back to the future trilogy. Most of my props are from the trilogy.
Beside Back to the future i am a big fan of movies like Jurassic Park, Jumanji, The Mummy and many more.

It´s amazing, what some members can build with that much detail and getting as screen accurate as possible.

lets see if I'm doing this right

well ello I'm alex but i prefer to go by lilith or lily bin to this site a few times for reference images for things like dredd and mad max I'm very much fascinated but edc items that people carry both in the real world and fictional and or the items we have that someone like rey from stairways might have on her
that being said thought it was time to make an account and see what can really be done when I'm able to really make things or put thing together so ya thats me

Thank you for the add. I am Britt Smith. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, FCC(SW). I have recently gotten back into scale modeling because of my grandson. He is enjoying working with me. I decided to join this site bacause my grandson (8yr) is interesting in props from some of the shows/movies he enjoys. He is also interested in some of the shows that I enjoyed as a child; Space 1999, UFO, Rat Patrol, Munsters, Star Trek TOS, etc. I am in awe at the work that you guys do, and I hope I can make some sort of contribution to this forum.
:)

Hi all,
I am new to the site. I learned about your site from a fellow member over at Club Obi Wan. My interests are Indiana Jones and Star Wars. I just ordered a model kit of Han Solo's DL-44 blaster from Dark Energy Creations. I have many Indiana Jones props and want to add to them, although I don't know if my wife wants me to add to them. Thanks and happy to be here.

Hi All, my name is Scott from the UK. I interested in making a Iron Man costume and any star wars costumes. Not sure where to start. Am also gathering bits for a DL44 blaster which is not easy because of the UKs gun laws.

Hello gang!

My name is Jeremy and I am a pumpkin carver and a chainsaw carver and as of recently a sculptor. I just found this site and I can't wait to learn everything a I can from this place.

Art Hard,

J
