Hey guys! I'm Harry from SW Missouri and have looked through amazing works here on RPF for a couple years now but never actually joined! Working on an epic Batman Arkham-inspired suit for a short film I hope to shoot soon! So many exclamation points!

Hello! I'm Josh from Colorado!
I've been on and off the RPF for several years now looking at references and projects from the members on here and finally decided to make a profile and become part of this community! I've been working as an amateur prop builder for a couple years now and have experience as a carpenter (Hence the copious amounts of wood used in my projects) I hope to further my skills here and make some new friends!

In the meantime, here is my most recent project: my Ghostbusters Proton Pack in 2 weeks build :D

Thanks and I look forward to joining this community!

Hi,

I've been working with small scale original sci-fi sculpts (toys!) for a while now, taking some of them as far as small scale factory production. Recently I've been getting a hankering to work on some costumes and this place looked to be a great place to learn, and hopefully one day contribute.

Currently working on my own designs, but one day I'll have a 1/1 scale Mekon hanging from the ceiling.

Hi,
I'm new to this site and cosplaying in general. I'm making my first cosplay right now, it will be a Skyrim cosplay, Imperial Heavy Armor :)
I've been fascinated by cosplay for many years but never really felt I could do it myself and worried I'd be seen as a weirdo, as it wasn't very popular yet, but now that it's grown more popular and I'm a little older and bolder I figured why not give it a go! In the future I ope to make more cosplay costumes and props, as I love it and think it's so much fun to see the costume evolve step by step! I'm here mainly for inspiration and tips for my cosplay

Hello!
I'm another noob costume builder. :) I've always wanted to build my own replicas and costumes, so I've finally begun my journey into this stuff. I'm most interested in Star Wars costuming, and am looking forward to learning a whole bunch of stuff.

Hello,

I've been lurking on the site for a while now, but at the end of last year I started my first costume build: An ANH Stunt Stormtrooper kit from AP.

Hope to be getting in to some more things soon!

Hey guys I'am Dave, and I'am a costume addict. As of right now I have an Imperial Crewman, AT-ST Driver, a custom mando, The Ultimates Captain America WWII version, and two more in the works.

Re: >> New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! <<

Hi Everyone

I’ve been a long time fan of this site and all the super talented people who make it great and thought it was about time I joined up.

I work as a prop maker for theatre (only free-lanced for two years) and enjoy making more detailed things in my free time. Very into destiny right now.

Hoping to pick up some techniques and tricks to improve my trade and make some friend along the way.

Hey folks,

Name is Dave - a buddy of mine referred me to the site, and sadly I don't have any skill at prop making. I do, however, appreciate the hell out of what everyone does and wanted to check everything out!

Hello!
I'm brand-spankin'-new to the world of replicas/props/costumes. I came across this site after doing some research on a Spider-Man costume. I'm hoping to put one together sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future. Any leads or tips are always welcome

Hello everyone, I'm rather young to be joining a forum but I believe in the coming years I will have more access to materials and funding to start creating replicas of my own. Also some of these posts may inspire me to build things as I am just starting to get into carpentry. Some of my favorite props are the Grail Diary from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indy's bull whip. Hopefully in the future I will be able to make a bull whip of my own. I also would enjoy making display cases or frames for the things I build. I have a fascination for World War 2 and any props from movies related to it.

Hello All.

My name is Rick, I am 32 and I come from Aberdeen in Scotland.

I am quite new to the RPF forum but I have known of its existence if only vaguely for a few years from the 501st update blogs etc.

I have always been interested in making props and cosplay stuff but never actually dived in, but for a local comic convention in May I decided to go for it.

I am doing a Warlock from destiny :)

I hope to have a build thread of my work (failures) and I have a more specific thread on the 405th.com forum but I found a lot of the older style clay and casting information has been on this site, so I thought I would say hi and sign up :)

Hi,

My name is Dan, 23, from Kent, UK.

I am a digital artist illustrator and have been lurking and following builds for a while and have just embarked on my first build, a Warlock from Destiny, so I thought I should sign up and get involved.

I look forward to hearing from everyone and learning from your experience

Good morning all! I finally got a few minutes to sit down and create a profile here. I have a few friends in this community that have been asking me to join for awhile (not too mention seeing the incredible work being produced by the talented artist here that I keep seeing on RPF's Facebook page)
For props I have a small machine shop in my gargage and have built a Light-saber or 2, and also I like making leather armor. I'm also here in that I have a growing interest in the foam armor smithing that I see many building here. Thank you again for such an incredible site I have heard much and look forward to being a part of the community! also here is a pic of my latest reveal katana named the "Shinobi V5-XM) and a pic in my Armor

Not so much new, but I am finally going to start using my account.

My name is Olivia, but as you can see I go by "ClothBender" (which is ironic, because I make next to nothing out of cloth).

I use 3D-printing in some way to make my props and I have an unhealthy love for House of Kolor paints.

Hello!

I have been building lightsaber props on and off since I was a kid, and after stumbling upon a few saber-realted threads on here (through google), I decided I wanted to be able to join in on conversations like these. So here I am =)

Hi all,
I am new to the group and just wanted to say hi. I've been altering things all my life. Building models, hot rods, furniture, remodeling houses, bike frames and almost everything. I just retired from teaching art and now have a lot of time to play. Here is a recent build. This is part of my "glue gun" series. I like to combine junk to make stuff so this is one of those items. It is made from: a glue gun, antique telephone mouth piece, bike wheel axle, beer opener, bubble level and thermometer… plus a few misc parts.
Very excited to see what everyone is doing and to get inspired!
