Hi All !

I'm Jennifer, 33. I'm from France (Blois..near Chambord "Chateaux de la Loire"). My english is not very good, sorry. I
I'm a big BTTF fan ! I like too Goonies, who framed Roger Rabbit...
I'm glad to be there and hope to share my passion with you. I'm searching BTTF Props. Thanks a lot ! :)

Hello I finally decided to create an account here on the RPF after lurking around for many years. I've been tinkering and creating small props for a couple years and experimenting with different materials, from EVA foam to small scale resin and molding experiments, to woodwork, so I have minor experience in many types of material. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, an avid fan of the Fallout series, and a regular viewer of Mythbusters. I'm excited to be able to contribute to the RPF and get my feet wet in the world of prop making and cosplay.

Hey all!
Although I have posted once or twice, I haven't gotten around to introducing myself before now :)
I found the RPF when I was looking up info on The Wand Company and their 10th doctor sonic. I believe I had already ordered it, and was waiting for it to arrive, so having 50+ pages of info (including a lot of great posts from TWC themselves!) really helped me pass the time :p
Later I got a friend of mine hooked on their Phaser, and also there, we could both spend the wait for her to receive it here.
But back to me: I don't make a lot of props myself, but I cosplay, mostly 10th Doctor and the Joker (comic style).
I am also one of, as I understand it, only people who actually use my TWC sonic as a remote, both for my TV (memory bank A) and my DVD (bank B). Bank C is reserved for tv's on hotels and such :p

Hello! I am a huge fan of Star Wars, Sci-Fi and costuming. Prop making and modeling is new to me so I am here to find all the knowledge I can about it. Thank you for having me and say hello anytime :)

Hello everyone, new to the forum but super stoked to be here. Excited to learn more about all the stuff I'm what to pick up on, and get into some great discussions. Cheers everyone

Hi everyone,
my name is Will and I've always been interested in making things. I found this forum when I started getting into prop building when I built some Ghostbuster gear. Like others, I've been lurking here off and on for awhile and decided that it was time to finally join. As this is an amazing site full of super talented people.
a little about me, I really enjoy sculpting and I work for a small composites company. We make stuff out of carbon fiber/fiberglass, mostly component parts for airplanes. They let me make personal projects out of scrap/expired material. A lot of my Ghostbuster gear is made out carbon fiber, made all the molds myself. I've also made a couple of masks as well, but would like try making some helmets. Anyways, just thought I'd introduce myself

Hello!
My name is Jonathan. I've always been dabling with SPFX and costumes as a kid, never took it serious till I did my first prop(Evil Dead 2 saw arm). A Friend of mine who is a member thought I'd find this forum interesting and now I'm hooked on the challenge of Iron Man armor. I'm originally from Hawaii and moved to SLC Utah and got to expand my intrest in the art being exposed to more opportunities for cosplay, especially since Salt Lake now has a comic con. I guess I just like building fun stuff. Lots to learn here and challenge ones self. Everyone who has been on this since forever and awesome enough to share the knowledge thank you.

I'm also relatively new on here, lurking for awhile. I'm also from Utah. I've recently got a CNC plasma cutting table for metal up and running and hope to start a home business. I like going to the Salt Lake Comic Con and other conventions around here. I'm into Steampunk and basically love building things. If anyone would like help with some metal work, let me know!

Hey all! Canadian Cosplayer here. Been using the site as a resource for some time, finally got an account so I can stop being a creeper. I cosplay Harley Quinn, Valkyrie, Black Widow, Blossom (PPF) Mad hatter... got lots of Doctor who, Star trek, harry potter and gaming costumes in the works. I make everything from drafting the patterns to fabricating weapons and armour. I started teaching myself how to draft and construct costumes two years ago. You can check out my stuff on the social medias
- Facebook & Instagram

My goal is to have a cosplay blog up and running soon and I would like to sell costumes in the near future. Hopefully I can help others on here as much as this site helps me learn from this awesome community!

Hi everyone ! Im Philippe and im from Canada. Im here to meet collectors and im gonna try to find Spartacus props weapons for my collection :)

Hello, all ...

I work with Jamie Hyneman, Adam Savage and Tested.com, and of course we do a lot of instructionals. Tomorrow, for example, we are publishing a video in which Frank Ippolito shows you how to make the ***** You shoes from Kill Bill.

Is this something of interest to folks? Should I post when we publish something that may be of interest to members, or are you guys all already subscribed to Tested's YouTube channel, Facebook feed, etc.?

(PS, Adam talks about the RPF ALL the TIME. He loves it here.)

Oh! And perhaps you have suggestions of props you want to see made?

Thank you,

Kristen

Hello all,

I've just joined for 2 days, but prior to this I've already surfed the various threads here and have seen quite a lot of impressive builds, sculpts and tailoring work. My hats off to all the talented people here. I've not really done any props, and for those I have they are usually small scale, nothing major. Part of the reason I joined is because I heard that there are members offering blank Captain America shields for sale here? I'm looking to do the Age Of Ultron suit for this year.

Nice meeting you guys!

Hello my name is Matt I live in Vermont with my two girls and wife.
I came across this web site when looking at the Millennium falcon forums for the hero series mf, and was getting excited of all the things the people here have done in them and was wanting to do the same with mine.
Though I'mI'm new to doing this hopefully I get good as theses ladies and gents here.

Hello everyone, I'm Liam and I'm a part time graphic designer, songwriter and student art teacher. (Yeah, bit of an identity crisis going on here). I've been aware of this fine forum for a while and thought it was about time I joined in the fun. I love collecting props and putting costumes together. I'm one of those people who isn't *too* bothered if the items aren't screen accurate but I'll always "dress up" a costume with a little ingenuity in terms of accessories and added details etc. Thanks for having me!

Greetings from Canuck Nation! Big wolverine fan here. One of my wolverine jacket buyer actually asked me to join this forum. Hopefully I will be able to connect with fellow wolverine die-hards here.

Hello, everyone. I've been checking out the site for a few years now, getting ideas for Halloween costumes and finding useful resources for my admittedly dodgy builds. I've created an account because I'm switching from lurking to active participation as my builds get more complex.

I'm currently in the process of putting together a Captain America costume to run a marathon in. My first questions are going to be about finding a harness that won't chafe, modifying a shield to be durable but still light, and figuring out how to rig everything together. (MAGNETS!)

Then it'll be on to attaching capes better, figuring out scale mail, questions about making armor, and so on... I figure I've got three years before kids arrive, so I need to build a formidable costume arsenal before the little demons eat every ounce of spare time I'll ever have.

Hey, my name is James and I am from Canada. I love making props and costumes! I grew up making my Halloween costume with my parents. From being Barney to Jack Sparrow, I have made them all. Although I won’t be posting any pictures of me dressed as Barney anytime soon, okay maybe .Yet it was helping make these costumes that began my love of making props and costumes. I sort of stumbled upon the Cosplay community 3 years ago and since then I have been gradually developing my skills. My passion for creating has led me to follow my dream and open a small prop and costume company. As you may have guessed it is called OctoProps. I make pretty much anything from TV, movies, video games, anime and comics. From swords, to armor I love to build it. For some time I have been browsing this forum and it has helped me with many of my Cosplay problems. I am hoping that I can help others on here as much as this site has helped me out!!!

You can check out my stuff on my Facebook, Twitter and Instgram and I will be posting more stuff to come as this is only the beginning of OctoProps!!!!

THANK YOU :)!!!

I love graphic design and anything paper related so I was drawn to the resources that are available here. I have the harry potter guide to the graphic arts department book but the samples there don't compare to the quality that seems to be available here. haha. I also love maps as well, and have various maps from movies such as the lord of the rings and such. I've visited Hobbiton, and have been to the universal studios in florida with the harry potter section twice. I guess you could call me a fan but I'm not a huge fan. I just love the art and the story behind it. I also love making pop up cards and warabe ningyo dolls.

I've been doing costuming on and off for 30 years, still not used to calling it 'cosplay'. I make most of my clothes & jewelry besides doing costuming stuff. You can see examples of what I have done on my DeviantArt. I also have one of the oldest (and most out of date at this point) goth DIY sites Antimony & Lace.

My current project is a Tiefling Warlock for GenCon. The armor is of my original design but I landed here looking for tips on doing the horns & tail. Sclupting is not my strong suit & I am still learning to use worbla.

Hi there. I found RPF some while ago searching for inspiration. Haven't done very much yet aside from a (rather simple) lightsaber. I started building Darksides Iron Man MKVII suit some month ago for a beneficial Cosplay convent in my region and I hope to be able to contribute to the community.

Cheers
