Hello! Another "long-time lurker" here. I mainly collect replica Back to the Future props, nothing screen-used yet. But I do have a few screen used items from other productions such as Harry Potter (just one of those envelopes), and some wardrobe from The Office and How I Met Your Mother.

An on-going project is creating a replica of Marty's denim jacket from BTTF, I have several jackets for color/material reference and several to piece together to hopefully be "the one." Hope to show it off some day!

Hello all! I am a multi-genre cosplayer that has frequented this forum often for inspiration and help for past and future projects. Although I started out as a Japan fan, I am more into video game and movie replications nowadays.

Anyway, I am currently working on Nightingale Armor with the Krosis mask to do with a couple of friends in a Skyrim group. However, we are also working on starting to take commissions and create affordable prop kits to help promote and fundraise to open a supply shop in Raleigh, NC. I am very excited to begin this process and cannot wait to share my progress with everyone! :D

Hi am new here and just starting out in this amazing world of props and costumes etc my one desire and one goal in life is to become a Storm trooper so am here to get advice on getting the best armour I can.

Hello

My name is Mad Jack I'm a cosplayer from Chicago Illinois. I've been Cosplaying for 4 months now my first cosplay was Jack Bauer from 24. I plan on doing more cosplays and soon I will begin building my own props and costumes. I look forward to learning more and getting lots of great stuff built.

Hello! My name is Adam and am in shock at the crafting abilities I am seeing! I am into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a huge way and am loving what I am seeing from the props you guys have been making!

I also am into props but of pro wrestling that is. Championship belts to be exact! I do recreations myself because one of the original designers and manufacturers don't anymore after a long and terrible story.

Anyway, I wanted to join because I wanted to learn more about crafting and techniques and if there is anything I can help you guys with on the wrestling belt side if there are any fans or people into that just let me know!

Well I better go for now! Here is a pic of one of the belts I have recreated!

Later!

Adam

Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself to the community. I'm Kevin ( thumbsoffury) I am a big nerd and proud of it. I love movies and arcades as they take me back to a time that seemed simpler, when families would go out for entertainment instead of now when we have all these things at home. I came across the forum after searching for Rocketeer props. I have been lurking for some time and decided to get involved. I am trying to absorb as much info as possible and prefer to use the search function as opposed to lazily posting redundant questions. Someday I hope to be a contributor and not just a pupil. I'm in Washington state and work as a Biomedical Technician.

Hi everyone my name is Matthew I'm 21 and I come from Belgium. I'm in second year of "Human sciences" studies at Louvain La Neuve University. I'm a BIG Lord of the rings/Hobbit and Harry Potter fan. Just the idea of making my own paper props from the movies sounds very exciting ! I just hope to contribute and help you guys ! Thanks :)

Well, I'm glad I found this forum. I have been doing printed props for films, TV and commercials for over 25 years and I was checking out some of the stuff from the Shawshank Redemption. I remember getting a call from the prop master for the film back in the early 90s. He was looking for someone to help him produce the graphics, printed pops, etc. A lot of the letters had to be handwritten and, since I was schooled in France, my writing ended up being used for a number of letters, including the one Red reads at the end of the film. Yup, that's my handwriting there... It's nice to see that the production has reached 'cult' status. Kudos to Frank Darabont, the actors and the entire crew who worked so hard to make this production what it has become today!
I'm retired now but count more than 100 productions of all sorts that I have supplied printed props for.

Hello everyone, my name is Al and im a huge sci-fi nut, especially star wars. Heard about this site from a friend and finally glad to be a part. Wow, sooo much info here. Like a small fish from a small pond, finally getting to swim in the big ocean for the first time;). Uh-oh...was that a shark i just saw ??????:confused

Greetings everyone,

I jointed RPF after seeing Adam Savage enthusing about the “Blade Runner PKD blaster” and its many variants in his amazing collection. I knew then I needed to have one.

My joy and excitement quickly evaporated when I discovered UK laws prohibit the import of such replicas. – Gutted!
Undeterred, I'm on a mission to buy a Tomenosuke Blaster PRO Retailer Edition kit. But after reading the postings on the forum about visits from “Five-O” and guns being seized by UK customs, I'm heartened by the fact some have slipped through the net.

So if there’s anyone out there who can help - let me know.

Hi everybody

I found out about this site through the facebook pages for pep. I'm interested in lots of stuff like Ironman which I am currently trying to build the mark 37 out of cardboard and also in the process of making a full size general grieviousimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Hola!!! Es una web fantástica...espero poseer pronto algún prop para poder exponer....un saludo a toda la afición....

Hello, I've been to the site a number of times with out realizing it. I'd be searching for something, get a link to a thread. But never explore the rest of the site. Then I started following prop making and kept hearing about The RPF. So I checked it out, and I was like The RPF is an old friend I just never bothered to ask his name. I always wandered what the RPF Logo meant. I guess I was too tunnel visioned on the Props I was looking up to see the forest. Plus I didn't realize there was a community doing this.
Now I want to get into the prop making scene. So I'm going to try and post more on the site, and dive into prop making.

Hi everyone. Like many others new to this forum, I'm a long-time lurker and admirer of all the incredible projects here. I used to craft all the time when I was young, but somewhere along the way I let my creative side lapse. Now I’m getting that urge again. It’s time to get my hands dirty! And hopefully contribute something worthwhile to the community. :)

Hi as you might expect I new here and after seeing some of the projects I decided to try it out

Great to be part of the RPF community and am very excited to reawakening the creative part of my brain.

heya, figured i should start here... i'm just here for the iron man templates and building advice right now. i've never actually built any kind of suit before but i'm hoping to make a whole (or almost whole) iron man suit by the end of the summer holidays... anyway if you're any good with that sort of thing hit me up because i could really use any advice you have on that kind of thing.

Hi All! New member here, I found this forum looking for info on Star Trek props and have been following the thread about the new Wand Phaser prop for awhile. I figured instead of just lurking it was time to join. I've been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid watching the TOS episodes when they were first aired back in the sixties and have been a fan ever since.

Here's a pic of some of my Phasers I've collected over the last couple of years.
